Projection Resource Calculator Script

Description
This script calculates the resources required to build a projection and outputs info to LCD. Output can either be in components or in ore.

Currently outputs to LCD panel's custom data in a format readable by MMaster's Configurable Automatic LCDs 2.

7 Variables to set in script before use:

- projectorName: Enter name of projector with projection to pull data from.

- largeProjector: Specify if this is a large or small grid projector by enterying "true" or "false" (no quotes)

- lcdName: Enter name of LCD Panel to output data to.

- lightArmorOnly: Set true If your projection has light armor blocks only.

- interiorWallCount: Specify the amount of interior walls in your large projection (currently the game only counts them as "armor blocks"

- refineryEffectiveness: Set your station/ship's average refinery effectiveness for accurately calculating ore requirement for YOUR setup. For example, for 125% effectiveness, put in 1.25. for 200%, put 2.00.

- oreOutput: Output mode indicates if you want the output to be in components or in ore. Change to false if you want component output enabled.

*Note: the current version of the game only shows "armor blocks" regardless of light or heavy armor, so the "lightArmorOnly" and "interiorWallCount" variables are needed. When it's set to false, it automatically allocates the component requirement f the most expensive heavy armor block per block detected in the projector details.

————-DESCRIPTION UPDATE APR 9 2019—————

Due to the new component requirements of blocks during the exit of beta, this script no longer provides an accurate calculation. Now that keen has put lcds inside of cockpits, etc., I YEARN to update and polish this script. In addition to updating the component values, I want to add more compatibility like antenna comms, possibly assembler queuing, and independence from timer blocks. However, as long as scripts are still in experimental mode, I’m halting all scripting efforts until keen finds a way to put PB scripts into the base game without having to turn on experimental mode.

does it do raw resources?

The github updates are easy to implement, however it pushes the script over 100k lines ingame which doesn't seem to be working for me at least then. It compiles perfectly but it won't run.

Hello is this still partially working even if not counting new blocks or it totally broken ?

Here's a github I made of the updated component list. I haven't really tested it. I removed the SafeZone block as it has zonechips. If you don't know what to do with the 2 files, don't bother asking right now. It's pretty obvious for anyone with little coding skill.

@Peach, anyway you can share the changes you made (assuming it still works with all the new changes), would really like to use this script as well!

I would love to be able to use this script, me and my friends used to play Empyrion Galactic Survival and got way to used to the fact that you can just make blueprints in creative, go into a survival save, pick the blueprint you wanna make in the "factory" (just a tab you open) and then you have to put resources in the factory and wait for it to be build. after its built you can just spawn it in, which is amazing. welding the entire ship is such a fucking pain when you make complex vehicles, but we don't wanna spawn our shit in because we wanna feel like we earned it. being able to calculate the resource cost would be amazing so we can just make the components we need and then drop them on the floor, delete them and spawn in the ship so we did work for it :P
