The Martian Survival

Description
I've released a 1.5 update, just waiting on myself to build a NASA launch facility, and one DeltaGhost88 to finish up on a custom Hermes (do check out his workshop, the creations are well done)

x1x1x1x1x1, 24hr Day, Permadeath, Hounds and Spiders (more of you seem to like them than not, so, there you go)

Your mission, Retrieve the old Mars Mission Rover and use it to communicate with Earth (multiplayer oppurtunity here for you) also, Search for and recover the Alien Artifact located somewhere on Mars...

Nearby boulders for all Ore have been GPS marked, also the Mission Rover and Earth Base are GPS marked.

New player here. Can you give me a little nudge as to what am I supposed to do at the start?

I can see some of the antennas are gps marked, but... they don't need any repairs? The old rover that I need to retrieve is 58.xx kms away, so I'm guessing I need to mine for some ice before I make that journey right?

And for contacting Earth, is it still possible if I'm playing in single player mode? None of my friends even know or care about this game.

@delta99 I like it! keep an eye out for me to finish the promised update, I shifted gears from SE to play some other games and make time for some other IRL things I got going on, but sometime this weekend or next (no promises, I can get stuck procrastinating) you may see it, as the hermes is not yet available I may just release it as a 1.5 and wait on that while I build a somewhat close to real NASA launch site as well (which could take me some time, I'm having trouble finding good clear images of the sites layout, they're all ground level or covered in rocket launch exhaust).

also considering mdos for A) no gravity generators/ no artificial mass, and B) no global chat (forcing you to rely on antenna based communications)

the updated versio will now have a mod that adds a suit to the medbay for the old Ion thrusters, as well as changing the now default hydrogen suit thrusters to yellow flames, and it will also make )2/Hydrogen use more realistic, I used to be against mods, but now they are necessary for realism, any suggestions welcome! (and I will then review them and make a decision, no block mods, I'm looking only at gameplay stuff, as a guideline I REALLY didn't want the no-LOS version of the laser antenna, but it was necessary without planetary rotation)

@rebellionmarch, that makes more sense. I thought if it was on the start base and rover it would make things way too easy to get to the mars mission rover I would think. I have some ideas on how to get out there but will take some doing.

Oh no, it isn't on the start base or rover, it is on the mars mission rover you have to go out and find, and also on the earth base, can't give you everything right off =P it's intended for functionality if you should want to multiplayer, friends off on earth can use the old rover to interact with you. RP stuff
