[COOP 19] The Zavarak Data Heist

Description
=========
Mission built for up to 19 players, also, up to three players can be transport, only these will be able to fly any choppers or drive tanks.

This description is very important, it could mean the life or death of your squad if you miss some important info (description is in briefing also)

I have used FHQ task tracker and Pyscho's Revive script and have been testing this on a dedicated server
=========

We have discovered a new aircraft being developed in Takistan somewhere, if we don’t find out where and study its technology, CSAT will gain a large advantage. We need to locate and plan an attack to capture the project in its current state which will keep us one step ahead of the enemy.

Your mission is to locate a laptop in North Zavarak and install a virus which will reveal the location of the enemy project. This laptop needs a strong data signal which means a satellite dish will be attached to its building, our intel shows there are a few possible locations.

Before you install the virus, you will need to block the data comms tower located in South Zavarak. Warning, if you attempt to install the virus before blocking the data comms it will fail, alerting the enemy who are likely to send in a large force to investigate.

The datacomms will only stay blocked for 15 seconds, so will need to hold this position until a team is in place and ready to install the virus, once its unblocked you can attempt again should you need to.

We also need you to take control of the Safid Ab airfield. This is where we will land our troops and start planning our next moves.

Please note, we have marked on the map the location of a comms tower, if you take this tower out, the airfield will not be able to call for backup. Also, note the position of the airfield power supply, if you take this out, they will have no lights, giving you an advantage as we have seen no evidence of night vision on any enemy infantry units.

Important Notes:
We have discovered a possible weapons cache located in North Rasman. Please investigate to see if it exists… feel free to use this should you need to.

Also, our intel have discovered there could be car bombs located in North and South Zavarak. If you see any vehicles parked, have a look around for a civilian watching over it… approach the civilian with caution… he may be armed with a pistol, take him out to eliminate the threat of any nearby car bombs.

We have been told that North Zavarak is heavily guarded and civilians have been evacuated, however some may remain… proceed with caution!

We also have been advised that four static AA units are on a roof in North Zavarak and two static AA units are in South Zavarak, take these out in case you need air support or evac.

Once you have installed the virus and taken control of the airfield, regroup at position X to debrief (action added to flag to end mission)

We have a FOB located south of Zavarak, you will find some weapons and ammunition should you require

Good luck!

Will require all in Arma Terranpack:

Hey, so we went through Valtatie, Zargabad and Kunduz. I misread what you suggested, thinking it was Zavarak that had the door bug lol. But they all went fine, I think. I was in the AH1 for Kunduz, and we went down fairly early, due in part to me being a complete noob in the gunner seat and the camera being ridiculously shaky, so I was only able to get a solid lock on 1 vehicle. Don't think this is down to anything you did though.

Aside from all that, things went as well as they could've done, with many people that joined not having much experience in Arma at all. Nobody was recording as we took a more "suck it and see" approach. Once we get into it a bit more and becoming more confident, we'll start recording :)

@Sinbad269 This is good to hear, would be amazing if someone records the session so I can watch to see how it plays out for you (see if you take a different approach to TCF)

I have noted the adjustment, i do need to go though all my older missions to update... but with Valtatie Lunastus, Zargabad Kilo Viper missions, they can be played over and over (I have lost count how many times we have played these)

Kunduz mission was fun, but now due to a bug on the map, none of the doors will open, so cant always get to the task : (

Hey, was testing this out, prior to getting a group together to play. Think you could update the description and dependencies [along with possibly the mission itself if applicable], be compatible to CUP?
Would make everything just a bit more streamlined, and easier for newcomers considering the AiA TP has been supplanted by CUP. I only speed-read through this [and other descriptions as I got a bunch of scenarios], and only realised after trying to start it that you manually linked AiA TP in the description.

Also, we'll be running this [and possibly a few others] on a non-dedicated host, on the Internet so I'll let you know how they go! The other scenarios in question are: Valtatie Lunastus, Zargabad - Kilo Viper and Kunduz Redemption ;)

Thanks!

Good, Completed with a few losses

Good one, liked it, only thing that bugged me was that Recon Marksman had not night vision scope, it was playable without it tho

Thank you : ) This went better than i hoped, and the balance between enemy and friendly units seemed fine. I will make a few adjustments based on the comments received tonight and will split off the airfield take over to its own separate mission. Really looking forward to trying this one again after I have adjusted it.

Thanks again

Lot of effort is put to this. This was good mission idea, and some objectives are very good but as it is, it is way too long.

Separate airfield tasks from data/laptop tasks, and you have two separate missions.

Also make the briefing bit more readable, and separate critical info to appropriate different sections.

Otherwise liked this one a lot, and thanks for release Treendy!
