@sozialdarwinismus
I know what you mean. Pepin is really hard to figure out, since I cannot find a clear source for the Frankish form. The only three forms of the name that may be Frankish that I have found are Pepin, Pipin, and Pippin. I'll have to research some more about it.

@Eldgrim
Yes, i wrote modern german names. But you were wrong if you write pepin = pepin. This is the modern english and french version of this name. Of course its not easy to find historic frankish names, but you should consider that the franks were a german tribe, and in the 8 th century the differences between the upcoming eastern and western frankish dialects were not so big. So I think, like the name Karl was also Karlman(n) written. Einhard wrote his name by himself as Einhart. Eginhard is only the latinized form of this name, like carolus for Karl.

So its up to you Tw1tch, what you will create in your mod. Nobody of us lived at this time, so we can't check it out.

Great suggestions guys. Small update.

@sozialdarwinismus Those are the modern German versions of the names, the Frankish forms of these names are:

Carloman = Probably Karlman (Since there is only one 'n' in the old German word for man)
Eginhard = Einhart
Pepin = Pepin
