[Discontinued] Norse Reforms

Description
CURRENT VERSION: 0.4 Northmen
See changelog for more
---------------------------

Reform the Norse culture and religion in England. Lead the Anglo-scandinavians to victory in their new home and help them shape their hybrid faith - Norse Catholicism - that dictates a strict code of honor but also a bloody end to all who oppose them. What new lands lie behind the horizon?

FEATURES:
  • Reform the Germanic faith into a catholic hybrid
  • Assume control of the religion if you wish
  • Enact religious laws to help shape your new faith
  • Sell captured foes and enemies into slavery

Important Notes / FAQ
The Northmen culture will be activated after 1000 AD. This culture can be either West Germanic or North Germanic depending on your decisions.
To be able to activate slavery you need to be Anglo-scandinavian and activate the law. To be able to form the kingdom and become High King hold 2 duchies and be Anglo-scandinavian and Norse Catholic. The faith will hit you within 5 years after converting to anglo-scandinavian culture.

To be able to activate Holy Purge Wars you need to change Church Organization (laws) and either hold the office of Supreme Councillor (of the Holy Council of the Hammer and Cross) or have someone within your realm to hold it. This 'office' (title) is granted through event. You can also choose to delegate the job - this is handy if you want to give it to one of your family members (at which you will still be able to launch holy wars. The Supreme Councillor just need to be your vassal or courtier). The benefits of Holy Wars are obvious but if you lose the price is costly! Choose wisely

For those having issues downloading the mod, I've just found that having more than 50 mods seems to be a common problem. Steam has a hard limit of 50 before it stops bothering to download any new ones. So check your subscriptions, reduce the number to 50 or less, then see if it worked.

I really Loved this mod and just the feel of creating a hybrid of the Norse continuing with there viking like raiding ways and there pagan traditions and culture and even partial deitys surviving on and can even grow. I do wonder tho is it possible to reform it? and also I kinda wish its put as its actual own religion with the hammer and cross as its main symbol and have more heresy. But besides my problems this was actually a well made mod And I wish we could make the kingdom of yorvik into a empire.

Hey, great mod as per (just like the Byzantine one). The only issue is that the 'Kingdom of Jorvik' is sporting a black flag. Any reason why that might be? No other flags seem affected.

wanted to ask, does this reformation change the base game reformation, or is it something entirly different, so i can have reformed norse and Norse catholocism at the same time?
