Joke's on him, halfway through basic borin' I up and ran, took my uniform, and stole that old geezer's prized pistol to boot, and now I'm a pro killer, turns out I didn't even need the army in da first place, so screw 'em."

Scout's foray into the army didn't last long, but at least he stole some old bastard's prized WWII pistol for his troubles. Pried from the still warm hands of the Axis, and then the absent hands of an unfortunate drill sargent, still works pretty good.
