Galway Class Heavy Frigate

Description
This Frigate was designed with Heavy Firepower and both out of atmosphere capabilities AND in atmosphere capabilites in mind. It's got a small hangar also. It requires the mods listed in the *required box.

Here's a list of it's features.

>An assortment of Large & Small Hydrogen Thrusters in every direction, and the oxygen and hydrogen tanks they require.

>4 Sage Thrusters Front and Back, as well as Small & Large thrusters in all directions, giving great mobility hence the use of the word "Frigate"

>2 Main BattleShip Cannons (Mk3's)

>4 Fixed 230mm nose mounted cannons

>6 Fixed 250mm RaK nose mounted cannons

>6 automated 50mm Quad Turrets on the nose

>2 automated 120mm Turrets on the nose

>2 automated 50mm Flank Mounted Quad Turrets

>2 automated 120mm Flank Mounted Turrets

>4 automated 120mm Turrets covering the rear

>4 Jump Drives

>4 Reactors

>2 Large Cargo Containers

>A few interior turrets in the hangar

>A Hangar with space for 5 small ships, connectors included

>3 Forward mounted cameras and 1 cam for back, left and right respectivly

>6 Refinerys and 8 Assemblers

>A Medbay

>6 Cryo pods

The entire interior of the ship is oxygenated, including the hangar, absolutely every thing is piped up, the refineries, the hydrogen thrusters, hell even the cryo pods and medbays. If anybody has any questions to why this isn't modless, it mostly is, that was my goal originally, but to tell the truth the mod world is miles ahead of the vanilla world in terms of firepower, this ship would have 1/10th the firepower it currently has with default guns and be 1/10th as effective, the ship is mostly modless so you can paste it in without breaking anything other than the Sage thrusters that is. But if I get enough requests to do a modless one I'll be happy to do it, it'd be a pretty simple job anyway.

Alright next time I log into SE I'll play around with it, add minimum 2 turrets, watch this space.

Turrets. Perhaps even an extended stern to support a third artillery piece, make it just as dangerous to approach from the back as the front!

Battlements are tough to aim backwards, so thats not needed. You want to aim the bow at the enemy preferably anyway...

Modern Spartan what is it you suggest? Fixed battlements or Automated turrets to cover the rear? Because the former would be a bit of a pain, but I'd be willing to try out both.

OK, first off, I want to say this ship is one of the best i've seen on the workshop! It is the perfect ship for deep space exploration and prospecting, and the limited number of mods makes it all the better! Pirates ain't got NOTHIN on this! Not to mention she looks absolutely beautiful!

That being said, might I make a suggestion? While the forward firing arc is undeniably deadly, you have abolutely NOTHING covering the rear. No weaponry whatsoever. In a battle, that can be a MAJOR problem, especially since this ship is not an armored vessel, relying on its firepower to win the day.

Just a thought. Nothing I said is a necessity XD

Been dissecting the ship in Creative and from what i have gathered all of the forward quad guns are connected to nothing as in their piping is incomplete, same for the left side rear quads. also the top frontal 230mm fixed battlecannons cant be loaded aswell. Cant find the issue with them though.

For some reason hardly any of the guns can be loaded for me. Is there a disconnect somewhere in the tubing or is my projector lying when it said completed?
