Gould Bay, United States

Description
Known as "The Bay" to local residents, Gould Bay is located along the East Coast of the United States of America. It's well known for it's deep water harbour, providing a port of refuge for ships dating back to the first British settlers in the early 17th century. A prized possession of the British, it was not transferred to the United States until after the Peace of Paris was signed.

The port was the site of several battles in the Civil War, as Union and Confederacy sought to control the region. After the War, it's favourable port and abundant natural resources to the west of the bay caused it to become an industrial powerhouse. Today it's a highly populated city, with all signs of its rural past gone to the ages. Suburbs fill the former industrial valleys, and high rises dominate the old city, situated on the New Boston Peninsula.

Can you take Gould Bay to it's same, historic, heights? Unpack your bags, Mayor, you're going to be here for awhile.

As other have said, this is indeed a fictional location. It drew considerable inspiration from the are south of Virginia Beach, but in no way is it a replica of it. The only similarity is that there is a penninsula guarded by some outter banks and connected by a narrow strip of land.

From air it looks to be at the lower half of the mouth of Chesapeak Bay, and on the other hand it looks like its south of Virginia Beach Area. Altough it looks amazing and I map well ready to be played on!

This is not a real location, but it is an excellent fictional one.

Can you be more specific on where this place is? There is ZERO information on a Gould Bay in the USA. Nothing on a Gould Bay in any Civil War searches. Is it part of something else today? I even searched the entire east coast in Google maps and could find nothing with the land masses in your map. Especially around Boston.
