Description
The Stack-A-Station is a modular mobile base designed to start small and expand with crew needs. Using projectors to store deck types, a single station can expand into a colossal city capable of providing whatever needs may be required. All that is required is to adjust the height of the relevant projector to the upper-most section of the Station and build with your tools or construction craft. To maintain deck pressurization, each has a pair of Airtight Doors within the vertical travel tubes should a breach occur or it's just the new peak of the station. Terrestrial landing is also possible if a planet-side base is preferred, due to a combination of Planetary Decelleration Engines and Landing Legs. Should permanent settlement be preferred to taking off at a later date, warheads are installed to detach the extraneous engines.

Four Jump Drives are also installed in the basic Station to give it some measure of mobility for when an asteroid's mined out, or you just want to place it somewhere new.

Deck Types
Dormitory Deck - Two empty rooms for your modblock bunkbeds of choice.

Factory Deck - Refineries and Assemblers, with room for upgrade blocks.

Reactor Deck - Six Large Reactors for more power as the station's facilities expand.

Medical Deck - Medical Rooms and empty space for decoration.

Docking Deck - Docking tubes for large ships.

Tower Merge Deck - For merging multiple station towers into a colossal city.

Shuttlepad Deck - More pads. For Shuttles.

Secondary Comand Deck - a basic version of the Command Deck in the basic station, for if you want to elevate your command center higher. Or just as a decorative cap to a finished station tower.

Gatling Turrets

Missile Turrets

Solar Farm - O2 Farms and Solar Panels for Station self-management

Planetary Descent Engines - Large Thruster pods to keep a safe deceleration to a planet's surface. Warheads in the engine pods enable a clean break if you want the station to settle permanently.

Planetary Lander Legs - Legs mountable to the station base for planetary landing.

Really nice modular base concept. I like some of the other things you did, really slick.

Yeah, the Cargo, Factory and Reactor decks are intended as inbetween rather than top-floor ones. They also may have been all made from the same original cargo deck level.

whaddageek when you build the factory deck is there anything that can go above it?

I used the shipyard welders mod and built a ring large enough to encompass the entire station, with 4 merge block, also removed the 4 uppwards thrusters on the station on the pylons and replaced them with double improved piston with merge block on the side. Merged it up and then I just elevate the ring each time I want to upgrade. If I need to extend it beyond 20m I can detach and add another piston =D

Or if I wanna build another station or expand the one I have sideways I can detach and move the construction ring =)

Also if you want an easy way to assemble a Stack-A-Station, check out my Construction Limpet.

Go check out the W.A.S.P. Modular Starfighter. It's the same kind of premise, only using a core starfighter body with internal projectors that have various weapon modules to build for the wings.

Yea I just built it. I love this station. Almost unrated you, so I could rate you again =) You have anything else in this kind of category?

Well turns out I hadn't. It's now fixed, thanks for letting me know.

If you mean the picture, I think I fixed that after taking it. I'll double-check to be certain though!
