Cruiser HMS David Potter - EnterElysium

Description
Branch: Navy
Class: Cruiser
Role: General/Close-In Gunboat
Note: Heavily shielded, relatively thin deck armour, expensive

The HMS David Potter class was designed to be longer lasting and more durable in a fight that the preceeding WingZero class, as such it features a 2m thick metal hull, multiple compartments and heavy shield on all sides. Combined with the LAMS and Missle Interceptor system this makes the Potter-class incredible tanky in a fight - able to close within distance of it's rapid firing HEAP cannons. In addition the Potter carries 4 cheap drone helicopters with it for fire support.

However the HMS David Potter did end up running over budget and costing almost 2/3rds of a million metal per unit limiting production. While expensive the survivability of the design is thought to still be well worth the cost.

After testing it out, the cruiser proved himself too expensive to get to my fleet. And the biggest thing it lacks is effectiveness against all ship types.While it has a good LAMS, it can still be overloaded within a single good bombing run of EMP missiles, which turn off engine, shileds, AI cores, which then make this ship dead or an easy target. For the same price, i would build a Steel Strider Annnularis CVL with some f-22s, and some light cruisers as an escort.

@snta04: He did play Starmade, it was a while back though.

Anyways, Holy sh!t this thing is a beast. I guess the CAP helps.

my fleet trim is blue for any game and black for the main, you should play a game called starmade, it came before this and is very simlar only its in space, its just really awesome

EE you should build a moble hq sub, btw your ftd series brings back memories from the wwk #1 days classifing crafts and building new ones. ah i just love your channel

You know, I noticed that EE and me both have similar build styles. I think it's beacause of all the KSP. Both of us make our stuff sleek with not much fine detail. KSB builds modulely and not Block-by-Block, so this is probally why this is. :Khappy:

Much better visually than the WingZero. I don't think it's Big Dipper proof but it sure looks strong. Also are those Aavak's AA guns?
