FLYING
Unlocking flying requires: one class at level 15+

The quest [ʟᴇᴀʀɴ ʜᴏᴡ ᴛᴏ ꜰʟʏ] is automatically added to our journal as soon as our first class reaches level 15. A small team is recommended if we're attempting this quest below level 25...

To begin, we'll walk through Eversun North to reach Swan Lake Basin and defeat the Flying Frog King, located at 250 274, to get [ꜰʟʏɪɴɢ ꜰʀᴏɢ ᴘᴏᴡᴅᴇʀ]. After-which we'll trade the powder for a [ꜰʟʏɪɴɢ ᴛʀᴀɪɴɪɴɢ sᴡᴏʀᴅ] with Randy Charleston who waits for us in Eversun City, 234 215

ʜᴏᴡ ᴛᴏ ꜰʟʏ
◌ Flying on a weapon: [ᴄᴛʀʟ+x] > ᴇᴠᴇʀʏᴅᴀʏ sᴋɪʟʟs > ꜰʟʏɪɴɢ
◌ Flying on a pet: [ᴄᴛʀʟ+ᴇ] > ᴄʟɪᴄᴋ ꜰʟᴀɢ ɪᴄᴏɴ

We should note that not all pets have flying capabilities and a [ꜰʟʏɪɴɢ ᴜᴘɢʀᴀᴅᴇ sᴛᴏɴᴇ] is required to enable it. This upgrade is applied to the selected pet and doesn't need to be done again in the future as the pet will retain its ability to fly.

ʜᴏᴡ ᴛᴏ ʟᴀɴᴅ
Flying over any landing pads will trigger the [ʟᴀɴᴅɪɴɢ] button located above the chat box; click it to stop flying. Landing pads are marked on the map with a sign. We can fly through portals and enter certain instances, like the arena, without having to land.

✈️ Flying speed
While their speed differs by only 2 points, the race we've chosen for our character determines our base value; with Shura being the slowest, Humans and Sylphs being in the middle; and Sprites being the fastest. Using certain skills before taking off, or using consumable items can increase its value:

sᴋɪʟʟs
(ʙʟᴀᴅᴇᴍᴀsᴛᴇʀ) sɴᴇᴀᴋ ᴀᴛᴛᴀᴄᴋ
+60 speed for 10 seconds

(ᴍᴜsɪᴄɪᴀɴ) ᴅɪʟɪɢᴇɴᴛ ᴅɪᴛᴛʏ
Increases speed of teammates up to +10

(ᴛʜɪᴇꜰ) ꜰᴀsᴛ ɢᴀᴛᴇᴀᴡᴀʏ
Increases speed up to +29

(ᴛʜɪᴇꜰ) ʀᴜɴ ᴀᴍᴏᴋ
Increase speed up to +29. This buff lasts much longer than Fast Gateaway

(ᴡɪᴢᴀʀᴅ) sᴘᴇᴇᴅɪɴɢ ᴛɪᴄᴋᴇᴛ
Up to speed +14. Requires a wand to be equipped and consumes a scroll to cast

ᴄᴏɴsᴜᴍᴀʙʟᴇs
ʙʀᴇᴇᴢᴇ ᴘɪʟʟ
+10 speed

ɢᴀʟᴇ ᴘɪʟʟ
+15 speed

ʜᴜʀʀɪᴄᴀɴᴇ ᴘɪʟʟ
+20 speed

ʟɪɢʜᴛ ᴡɪɴɢs ᴛᴇsᴛ ᴍᴏᴅᴇ
+18 speed

ʟɪɢʜᴛ ᴡɪɴɢs (ᴘᴇʀᴍᴀɴᴇɴᴛ)
+18 speed. Obtained by unlocking the God Of War title from arena

◌ The visual fx while using light wings can be turned off in the settings by opening the menu [ᴄᴛʀʟ+ɴ] > ɪᴍᴀɢᴇ > ᴛᴜʀɴ ᴏꜰꜰ ᴘʟᴀʏᴇʀ's ʟɪɢʜᴛ ᴡɪɴɢs ᴇꜰꜰᴇᴄᴛs

ᴘᴇᴛs
+10 speed when flying on a pet. This bonus stacks up with skills and consumables

1️⃣ Flying fairy
Flying speed level: 1 → 10

Once we've unlocked flying, there will be a few quests available to help us increase our flying speed. The first one is given by Randy Charleston who is located in Eversun City, 234 215. We'll be tasked with speaking with the Flying Fairy who roams in the skies of the city. Once that's done, report back to Randy.

The fairy flies at an average height of 70 and can be seen on the mini-map as a moving dot.

2️⃣ Fly! Flying pupu!
Flying speed level: 10 → 16

Our journey will take us to Swan Lake Basin, 309 402, where the Flying Pupu Trainer kindly asks that we collect the nose print of 5 pupu who are floating in the sky. We'll be doing this twice. All we need to do for the first time, is collect the prints. We do the same thing the 2nd time, except there will be a timer counting down, so we need to collect them faster. The pupus are at the same locations and are marked on the mini map with a tiny yellow dot when nearby.

3️⃣ Star of flying pupu
Flying speed level: 16 → 22

Our next flying adventure takes place in Collington City, 301 334, in the sky above the careers advisors. Singsong Fairy would like us to emulate the song Twinkle Little Star by clicking on the corresponding flying pupus nearby. We'll be doing this twice. The first time includes 14 notes, while the second round will have 28 and a limit of 6 minutes.

ʀᴏᴜɴᴅ 1 → 1155 665 4433 221
ʀᴏᴜɴᴅ 2 → 1155 665 4433 221 5544 332 5544 332
⁜ If we clicked the wrong pupu, we'll have to start over...

🎏 Flying items
There are many items that can be used for flying other than the [ꜰʟʏɪɴɢ ᴛʀᴀɪɴɪɴɢ sᴡᴏʀᴅ] obtained from the quest we completed earlier. Any weapons in our inventory can be used; pets that have been upgraded with a [ꜰʟʏɪɴɢ ᴜᴘɢʀᴀᴅᴇ sᴛᴏɴᴇ]; and vanity items intended for flying purposes.

◌ If the weapon we want to use was previously "downgraded," we will need to meet the weapon's original level requirement to fly on it.

◌ The majority of these vanity items are drops from gacha boxes available in the item mall during seasonal holidays and events.
