Satoru Iwata Memorial (Small)

Description
A memorial in honor of the late Satoru Iwata, the 4th President and CEO of Nintendo. One well known quote of his was,

"“On my business card, I am a corporate president. In my mind, I am a game developer. But in my heart, I am a gamer.”"

The statue is based on the iconic image of him holding a banana joined by a Mr. Saturn, a character from the cult classic game Earthbound, which he contributed significanly to as a programmer and producer.

I miss Iwata! Nothing is really going on at Nintendo since his death. They're not releasing any games, just say that we should wait . . .

Here's a screenshot of the memorial in my city, sitting on the highest peak. Despite the distance you have to travel on a dirt road (it's a decent climb), lots of respectful tourists and gamers make the trip.
