Card of Duty

Description
RELEASE VERSION (1.0.0)

Hello everyone and welcome to my first mod in Tabletop Simulator, Card of Duty! This is a simple strategy trading card game created based around the concepts behind the gameplay in the Call of Duty series.

This mod includes:
-Custom Card Designs
-Weapons, Killstreaks and Perks, ripped straight from the games
-Simple to follow gameplay
-Attachments to shake up the weapons
-Play with from 2 people to as many people as you'd like
-Possible expansions if the community so desires

The following is the full rules to playing Card of Duty (because they didn't fit in the Tabletop Simulaor rules):

<<<GAME OBJECTIVE>>>
Accumulate 30 points by killing other players through adding up the numbers on each players' cards and having the sum of the cards higher than your opponents'.

<<<GAME RULES>>>

Decide amongst yourselves who goes first, rolling a die is probably the easiest method. You can play with as many players as you'd like, but obviously you will need at least 2 players to play a game.

Each player draws 5 Weapon Cards (Orange Cards) and 2 Perk Cards (Blue Cards) and place them in-hand. Every player must have these cards at all times (unless of course they are fighting). From there the player that you decided to have go first will choose another player to fight.

The player that chose their opponent must now start a fight by placing down any SINGLE weapon card, or if they have a perk card that can be placed down before a match starts, they must place that perk card BEFORE placing down any weapon cards. NOTE that placing down perk cards is entirely optional, but must be at the proper time according to what the card says (See READING CARDS>>Perk Cards). Another option the starting player has is placing down a Killstreak Card (Green Card) which will be explained further down in this section of the rules.

After the first player has placed their first weapon card, the second player must then place their first weapon card (or perk card if it must be placed before a match). At this point, any player can place down additional cards if they are legal to place (See READING CARDS>>Weapon Classes). The round will not end until each player is satisfied with their card placement or until they cannot place any more cards.

Once all cards that can be in play are placed down, the sums of the cards in play are added up on each side. Make sure at this point to check for bonuses to the sum on your side through attachments or other weapon specific bonuses (See READING CARDS>>Weapon Attachments). The player with the larger sum at the end of the round recieves a point and kills the other player. If the sums of both sets of cards are equal, you must find a method of deciding which player is the victor through flipping a coin or rolling a die.

The winning player recieves a point and places every weapon card used in the match back into their hand, while discarding perk and killstreak cards. The player who died (the loser of the match) must discard all of the cards they used during the match. Each player then replaces any missing cards from their hand so they both have 5 weapon cards and 2 perk cards.

The winner of the match will select another opponent to fight and the process will begin again. If the winning player at this point has accumulated 3 points in a row, they may draw a Killstreak card before initiating another match.

Killstreak cards are completely optional in use, but must be used in the very beginning of a match before any other cards are placed. Cards that are an exception to this rule will have that written on the card itself. When a match-initiating player places down a killstreak, a special event will begin and the initiating player may not place
down any more cards until the end of the match, and every player must read the killstreak card to see what they must do during this event, as killstreak cards can effect multiple players at once. If a killstreak card fails (which can be found by reading the card), the initating player will not be killed, but they will not choose the next opponent. They will instead choose who will start the next match.

<<<READING CARDS>>>

Reading the cards in this game are key to fully understanding how each component of the game works. Plus, it helps make the game go faster by not making you constantly look back at the manual to see "what does a red dot sight on an smg do?"

CARD READING BASICS:
At the very top of the card you will see key information about how to use your card. Details about what that means can be found further down in this section of the rules.

After that we see the name of whatever card you are using. Good to know if you are a veteran player of this game and can remember the effects of each card.

If you have a weapon card, you'll see to the right of the name of your weapon a + symbol and a number, both in bold red text. This is the base damage of your weapon before any effects have been placed on it's damage output such as attachments.

Below all of that is a picture of what you're dealing with in that card as well as an attachment if your weapon has one. Cool srtuff, totally relevant and important information there.

Below that is a box filled with all of the special things your card does aside from straight up damage other players. The bold text is the text that will describe in the effect your card has will a short name. Below that will be smaller, regular font text that describes in detail the effect your card has, whether it's just a damage bonus or describing how a Killstreak event will work. If the card has no special effects, the box will be accompanied by a fact or some quote relating to whatever's on the card.

WEAPON CLASSES:
Each weapon has a specific class tied to it that disallows specific cards to be played in the same turn. Without these, this game would just be about which person has the bigger hand. This information can be found at the top of the card directly above the name of the weapon.

Primary Class:
The majority of the weapon cards in this game are Primary class. These weapons (unless stated otherwise by another card) can only be used once in a match.

Secondary Class:
These weapons are meant for when you need a little extra kick to get yourself ahead of your opponent. These cards are a bit more rare than Primary Class cards for that reason. These cards can be used in conjunction with Primary Class cards, but only if you play them after playing a primary class card (If you play a secondary class card as your first card, you cannot afterwards place a primary class card for the rest of that match). Like Primary class cards, you cannot place down two secondary class cards in one match (unless otherwise stated).

Tertiary Class:
These cards are super rare, and super powerful. These cards cannot be used with any other weapon card in a match, not even secondary cards. This is why you should use these cards on special occasions only. Of course a card can make these cards compatible with others, but that will probably equally as rare as these cards.

WEAPON ATTACHMENTS:
Weapon Attachments are added to weapons to give an extra kick to them if your opponent has a specific weapon. This information can be found in the big box at the bottom of the card if the card has an attachment. For example: if t "+1 Damage Against Assault Rifles" it means if the opponent is playing an assault rifle card, the sum of the damage you deal in that match will increase by 1. Alternatively, if you place down a card that says "+1 Damage Against Killstreaks and Special Weapons" and the opposing player is using an assault rifle, you will not get a damage bonus added to the sum of your cards.

As much as i hate Call of Duty congrats on your mod and a custom game. I like seeing more of the custom board/card games created for Tabletop Sim. than the retail games. I think this game has so much potential for board game designers to release their games.

Also, add some expansions like advanced warfare, and the upcoming COD3.
