Great level, we had a lot of fun completely breaking it (as in finding a completely unintended way). No need to do any of the four side levels, all we had to do was get some drops of white gel from the side level into the main room, from then you can cover everything, and sneak on the sides of the portal barriers to grab all the balls.

TL;DR: Be very, very, very careful when adding white gel.
