No Lag Hostile Plants

Description
Very simple mod that removes some of the projectiles from the yellow plant faction and replaces them with more needle weapons. This reduces the number of on-screen projectiles when the plants are p!ssed-off so your frame rate won't slow down. - Nothing else in the game is changed.

ya the title is wrong, but it removes a massive amount of the slow mo, and so this map really shouldn't be sexually assaulted

10/10 would put my faith in a different mod again ( ͡͡ ° ͜ ʖ ͡ °)

no, i'm serious dude. the framerate remains constant, and the physics updates do too. on bad computers it may be lag, and the framerate may drop, but on good computers it slows down anyway, even though there is no performance drop. the reason ths mod works is because there are less bullets, and the game doesn't slow down as much. lasers don't count for the slowdown effect. many bullet hell games use this feature, the more bullets on screen, the slower the game goes. supposed to help you react. but in reassembly it's poorly implemented, because there is no limit to the slowdown.

uh, yeah. I'm assuming you're being sarcastic by calling it bullet time. :)
It's the game trying to calculate the physics for all the projectiles on screen.

this isn't lag, you guys realise this, right? it's intentional. like bullet time. the more bullets are on screen the more the game will slow down, it's meant to help you dodge, but it just sucks. very poorly implemented feature. the framerate will remain constant on a decent pc, but the game will slow down anyway.

Does not work really well. It does reduce the amount of torpedoes very slightly, but for some reason now the plants all use their lasers at the same time when they see a ship coming, which makes it way worse than before for me

TheRealDoge that is a dirty lie and you know it, the game slows down simulation speed to not have stuttering, that is what it means by lag.

Even my beastly i5 4690k overclocked to 4.7GHZ, 16GB of 2 sticks on seperate channel at 2133Hz and the game along with windows installed on a mid-high tier SSD and I still lag when fighting against even just 2 fully infected asteroids. if it's somehow only one my PC can handle it with a slight slowdown.
