Amphion - Skate - Mining Collector

Description
The lightest of the "RAY" Class mining collectors in Amphion's lineup, the Skate is a simple and relatively inexpensive craft for what it does. It gets to where it needs to go, picks up all the loose ore in range, and processes it along the way.

Due to its compact size, the space left over primarily goes to important systems within the craft's hull. Not much space for comfort in this small collector. There is only one access door on the craft, and it has only two connectors. Most, if not all systems on the Skate are manually operated, but it can still set an autopilot course or be controlled remotely. Due to the size restrictions on the vessel, a functional stone ejector wasn't fitted to the Skate, though if need be, the Skate can hook up to other vessels to rid itself of unwanted material.

It is 900+ tons lighter than the mid-class Thornback, and nearly 2000 tons lighter than the massive Manta. Its defensive armament consists of 3 interior turrets, 1 gatling turret, and 1 rocket launcher (for wildcat miners involved in claims disputes).

The best reasons to obtain a Skate are: It's small, light, and cheap. It'll get the job done, even if it takes a bit longer to process things. It can be operated by a single person with ease, and it's great for getting into hard-to-reach spots that other "RAY" Class collectors can't.

Quick Guide to Collector type vessels

For those unfamiliar with Mining Collectors, they are vessels designed specifically for covering a specified digging site with a gravity field, so as to collect all of the loose ore present in the area, then, through their collector bay, siphon the ore into their refineries and furnaces to turn into ingots.

They work best in tandem with tunneling and mining small ships that eject their ore into the gravity field to be collected by the vessel. Positioning involves a careful process that leaves enough space on the bottom of the ship for small vessels to make their way out from underneath.

Primary features
-Autopilot and remote control operation
-Relatively small
-Can be serviced easily by one person

Oh, and this thing was originally a respawn ship.
