(VBS) Avalon Class Strike Carrier

Another design out of Von Bargen Shipyards, a mid size fleet vessel, The Avalon Class Strike Carrier. While not a front lines, head to head ship, the Avalon has the capability to store and launch multiple small fighters and bombers for longer range attacks. It has docking ports for 4 fighters and 2 bombers, with more floor space for plenty of other craft, and a fairly unique gravity catapult for aid in craft take off.

While the Avalon is meant for long range deployment with its large cargo and oxygen storage containers, its range is limited due to no on-board oxygen generators or farms. Thus it is not meant for explorations purposes and must stay in range of supports ships or stations.

VBS is currently designing fighters and bombers capable of both docking and launching from the Avalon. Check back soon for more details.
