Description
A series of 3 fighters, all can use modular equipment. Also, 2 fighters can merge with each other and form a super fighter that can be controlled by a single pilot.

Description

Generation 3 of R-Tecs fighter product group is more about evolution than revolution. Compared to generation 2, only one the medium fighter was replaced by a completly new

model, while the light and heavy fighters were upgraded with new equipment like remote controls, antennas, new bullet proof cockpits and other modern devices.

Third gen fighters can be merged together via the "Buddy link system", consisting of a connector & merge block pair mounted on the bottom.
This allows operation of 2 fighters by only 1 pilot.

Just like the second generation fighters, the fighters of the third generation are still battery driven and can be expanded with external modules. Modules can

Mods used

None, 100% Vanilla.

Shuriken SX III

A good fighter for a small budget or a small hangar. Primarily used for scouting or as a expendable interceptor, not for attacking large ships.

Integrated weapons: 4 gatling guns
Module slots: 1 (for buddy link only)

Rapier MX I

A medium fighter. Features 6 integrated gatling guns, but can be upgraded by adding rocket packs or dakka-dakka modules.
With its unique "Ghost Fleet" ability it can generate holograms of 3 other fighters while simultaneously disguising itself as a heavy fighter. The holograms can't trick

advanced sensors or even visual inspection at closer ranges, however the ghost fleet is still able to add more confusion to already complicated large battle situations at a very affordable price.

Integrated weapons: 6 gatling guns
Module slots: 2 (plus one for buddy link)

Bardiche HX III

The premium fighter of this fighter generation. A pretty heavy fighter but thanks to its many engines still very manouverable.
The cockit is completly covered in armor except for a small entrance hatch at the top of the ship.
Has 4 integrated gatling guns, but can be upgraded by adding rocket packs or dakka-dakka modules.

Integrated weapons: 4 gatling guns
Module slots: 3 (plus one for buddy link)

Module: Reactor

All 2nd gen Fighter are purely battery powered. For very long lasting missions this module, containing several small reactors, can be equipped as a range extender.

Module: Rocket Pack

Exchangable Rocket Pack with preloaded Rockets.

Module: Dakka-Dakka Module

Do you have enough dakka? If you said yes, you do not have enough dakka and need this module. Gatling guns and cargo space for tons of ammo.
The Dakka-Dakka Module can either be mounted to the "buddy link" slot, which allows it to share ammunition with the fighter, or one of the regular module slots.

Module: Cargo Pods

Cargo pods allows the usage of the fighter for mundane transport tasks or enable them to carry an insane amount of ammunition. 3 different cargo pods are available: one small and one large civilian variant and a heavily armored small one.
If mounted to the buddy link slot instead of a normal merge slot, the fighter is able to access the containers pods contents during flight.

@JoePineapples: heheh, yeah :)
This creation is indeed heavily inspired by Homeworld:Cataclysm, both the buddy link mode and the "ghost fleet" ability of the Rapier.
