Custom Asset Milestone Unlocker [Deprecated]

Description
Deprecated after the 1.1.0 update
Because of the following change, newly-made assets will no longer need this mod.
Asset editor: Added ability to inherit building unlock milestone from template
It's strongly advised that an asset creator rebuilds their assets from the template again.


Both features described below are deprecated because the 1.1.0 update enables an asset to inherit these attributes from the template.

This mod patches certain types of custom assets to unlock milestones when they are placed.
It supports these types of custom assets:
  • Garbage - Landfill and Incinerator.
  • Deathcare - Cemetery and Crematorium.
  • Education - from Elementary School, High School, to University.
  • Public Transport - all five types, especially Bus Depot, Train Station, and Metro Entrance.
* The reason why only these are supported is explained in my source code[github.com].

For example, custom train stations alone can enable the transport line tool; you'll never need a vanilla train station to unlock the tool.

This mod also patches custom train stations with built-in Transport Lines so that they can accept regional traffic themselves.

Note:
This mod patches the custom assets AFTER they are loaded, and it affects all existing instances. However, if you unload this mod, all features will disappear.

Save game Compatibility:
This mod patches some properties to the custom assets, but these are built-in properties. This mod does not introduce a new class to be injected into your save game, so you can safely unload this mod and still play your city.

@roberto Use ModTools load asset unlocks at correct milestone. Open ModTools ctrl+e go to Tool Controller -> Tool Controller -> Search for PrefabInfo open it, scroll down, search m_unlockmilestone and copy it... load your asset go to same position and paste it - can work but 0 warranty

so, with the new update, how do you "inherit from template"? Particularly, how do you add a milestone requirement to a building already made without one?

this mod is still needed you can't build a metro tunnel if you build a custom made station 1st without this.

@wastel After a quick search in IPT's decompiled code, I cannot find any obvious point of conflict. IPT does not directly use the property that my mod alters (m_transportLineInfo). Perhaps this property has propagated, but I'm not that skillful to analyze how this has affected IPT's function. Again, thanks for pointing this out.

Just as info - this one seems to disable IPT Mod. I can reproduce it toggling this ON/OFF

yes now i can place custom metro stations without having to build the vanilla one 1xt to unlock tunnels!
