The Independence is a redundent model of carrier. It's hangar is massive, but only small fighters are able to navigate it's poorly designed docking station. Fleets have tried to keep this ship for the fact that it has a lot of firepower for a carrier, but most have proven to fail. Few serve as CEUs with modified hangars, the rest have either been refitted to compliment stations as defensive hangar, or scrapped for parts.
