Description
[Work in Progress] Based on actual heightmap of the Pittsburgh, PA area, with some adjustments to get great river water flow.

No tunnels yet, but the Ft. Pitt Bridge and Ft. Duquesne Bridge are accurately placed and the main highway connections are I-279 and I-376. Starting tile is at the Point, and features a newly reconfigured interchange to more closely depict the actual interchange.

Map features no mods and will work in Vanilla game. Plenty of Ore, Oil, and Fertile land available.

Feedback is welcome! This is my first attempt at a map in C:S and would love to improve it and keep it a fun map on which to play. Hope you enjoy it!

You can use the awesome Image Overlay mod by natural selection if you want to get a guide for laying down accurate roads:
1) Install the Image Overlay mod

2) Download my overlay.png, which matches this C:S Map:

3) Save the overlay.png to the Cities_Skylines/Files folder in your SteamApps location, default is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Cities_Skylines\Files

4) Enable the mod in-game, and then hold down the up arrow until you see the overlay on the terrain.

5) Hit the left arrow to resize to the full map size.

6) Lay down your roads and let the traffic carnage ensue. Just like real life! :)

You COPIED the actual highway layout! It's the worst part of the city. I'm with Kbaweshum on the fixing it. lol

Does this accurately show the 300ft traffic has on the Ft Pitt bridge to merge?

I would like to recreate Pittsburgh faithfully, except for the single lane exit only at 28 at the Highland Park Bridge in both direcitons.

@Mr.Rogers - can you share the file? I'd love to have a full scale Pittsburgh and then see the effects of an improved bus and metro system.

Great job with this map! Not sure I want to try to simulate the burgh, everyone already knows it doesn't work. Everyone knows that 28 is open right? I haven't worked in the east end for 3 years now, but it should be better. Time should be spent complaining about the useless drivers on all roads that clog up the left-hand lanes. If you're leaving downtown @ 4 oclock and aren't doing 80 mph, stay out of the left hand lane!

I have made the city as exact as i could and my PC has went to sh*t now when i run the map. I hope I can keep building, I have most of the east side down with exact districts/roads. Similar highway exits and such. Updates and screenshots will come!
