Isla Borealis

Isla Borealis - for those who just long for that special island experience. Isla Borealis is completely covered by a dense forest, since it was only recently discovered by the explorers of CimsNation. A mountain river flows into the sea, fertilising the lands around it for prospect farming projects. Iron ore can be mined from the volcanic mountain range, whilst small deposits of oil are found in secluded spots.

The transportation bureau of CimsNation has build a costly elevated highway onto the island, as well as an elevated train line. Settlers will rejoice, since they don't have to elevate a single thing by themselves.

Isla Borealis is based on the island Helgoland off the Danish coast. I took the heightmap and altered the island to my liking. I will personally play on this map, so should you want to give any recommendation how to make the map better, please do comment!
