Description
This is my personal Sliver deck. I have actually played with this in real life.

Sacrifice isn't a targeted ability. My roommate is a certified Wizards judge. The rules on sacrifice are you place the permenant into the graveyard.

You sacrifice land because Slivers are also land. There's alot of newer slivers that would fit the deck better. +0/+1 is a wasted slot.

Dreg, I've already got the gemhides. No sense picking up those.

Zamorak789,

This is a targeting word and if I contacted WoC right now, they would tell me the same thing. I don't sacrifice cards. That's not how I run my deck. I especially think it's stupid to sacrifice land in a deck that relies on 5 colors to run.

The deck runs. It runs more effective than most sliver decks out there because I didn't just throw in slivers because their slivers. I've seen way too many net decks built like that and too many novice players do it. Each card was selected for what it does and it's mana cost.

FYI, when I say "cheap card" I mean the mana cost, not the actual value of the card. I don't run very many high cost cards because you can't get them out fast enough. I run an aggressive deck. If I want to take it slow, I'll play my saporling deck.

Also Dreg the value of a Gemhide is the same as Manaweft. Both are $1.50 and work just as well. I only use Gemhides because cheap foils.
Also agree with the changeling. It's useful in commander because I just take other peoples commanders. It's great.

Twisted, Sacrificing can be done at any time. "This" doesn't mean target. Look up rulings. Magic wording is very literal. For example, if a card says "choose a card" instead of "Target card" It can effect something with Shroud.
Much in the same way if a card says "Tap" instead of the tap symbol you can do it even if it has summoning sickness. Ask anyone who knows how rulings work.
Also if you think the infinite combos that will gain you literal infinite mana is too much mana (All three of those cards cost 4 or less mana, by the way) then you don't play enough. My deck which can't run four of a card (Like you can) drops one of these on turn 7 every time. Also all three of those cards are $5 or less. (Training grounds is only one mana, by the way.)

Instead of Gemhides, get Manaweft. They're dirt cheap because they came out in 2014.

When I get the money again, I will be getting more gemhides. For right now, 2 is just fine.

I didn't bother getting Overlord when I had the money because I'm not going to use a card where half it's abilities are nullified by one of the others. I run the amount of land I do because of the chance the board could get wiped. It's only 22 land. It's normally recommended that you have 24 land. But that's what the Gemhides are for.

The Exotic Orchards are what I had on hand. It's also good in a multiplayer match when I don't have enough of one color out.

The dieck is only 64 cards. I keep it low to increase the probability of drawing the cards I need. A trick I picked up from my time playing Yugioh.

However, I will consider Hivelord as it can defend against routes.

This would solve my problem with multiplayer games. The other suggestions are too expensive. Again, I run mana efficient decks. If I think it costs too much, it doesn't go in unless it's really good. That's why Legion and Queen are in the deck.

"Each Sliver gains "{2}, Sacrifice this creature: This creature deals 2 damage to target creature of player."

The word "this" in that sentence means it targets. I don't know why you are not seeing this.

I run mana efficient decks. Meaning, cheap creatures that can get bigger when I need them to. Half of the cards you suggested are too high a cost when I can get the same effect for cheaper. Why the hell would I want to sacrifice land? I run a creature heavy deck. You're suggesting cards that deplete your mana pool on top of being expensive to play. Gemhides costs two to play. This isn't a throw any sliver in you like. You have to make them work together.

Some... Interesting choices for land. I'd run more gemhide, and less land personally. And no exotic orchards.

The only time Sliver Overlord targets is if you run Ameboid Changeling (which you should).
