Recovery Ship Discovery

The Discovery Class is a lightly armed and armored Recorvery/Repair ship. Even for being relatively small in size, it can still latch on and tow ships up to 5 times larger than itself. To do so, it uses a system of 27 landing gears, and a large complement of thrusters. For how valuable of an asset these ships are, their armor is poor, and it only sports 2 gatling turrets on the bow. To help slightly offset this, modifications were made to give a small flight deck, making it able to carry a wing of fighters, as well as 2 repair shuttles. However, this ship should only be used in rear line operations, and only when there is sufficent cover.
