Zetnus's Cheeseburger v1 and v2

Description
Who needs ham on their burger when you can have cheese instead?

Cheeseburger is basically the reverse of the Hamburger map – instead of forest, there is water is in the middle separating the two teams, and on the outside everyone is surrounded by forest instead of water. You will probably need to cut your way through to the outside of the map (but it’s only 2 lines of trees, so you can get through quickly).

To play choose the following when setting up a match:
Map style - Custom
Location - ZN@Cheeseburger_v1.2 or ZN@Cheeseburger_v2.2
Version 1.2 includes different themes (desert, jungle, temperate, alpine, frozen).
Version 2.3 comes with rocks that block units from going along the beaches to get past the tree lines. However, this is only possible on the frozen map; so v2 is only has snowy maps.
Choose which ever one you like better!

This map suffers from the same limitations as Hamburger and is best played with exactly two teams (ideally 2v2, 3v3 or 4v4). A FFA may produce undesirable results, especially when playing with more than 4 players.

If you notice anything wrong with this map, let me know and I will see if there is anything I can do about it.

I've released a small update to this map, because the exploit I was using to place the rocks has been fixed and no longer works with snow pine forest.

Hello Zetnus, it's great to read that from you. My last two comments initially should only be one comment. But my whole explanation of what I had in mind exceeded 1000 signs, and Steam told me that a comment that exceeds 1000 signs cannot be sent. So I had to split my explanation in two comments.
I think that you can create two new interesting random island maps: One in Pangea-style and one with Forests that totally surround each player in the beginning.

Hello Jaguar, I think the idea of Pangea-syle individual islands could work quite well.
I have a couple of ideas concerning gold and possible defenses on the starting islands. I'll see what I can put together to make a mostly water-based map interesting to play.

- Your actual Pangea random maps are shaped like Coastal maps. Can you create 'Pangea island' maps as well, which are approximately quadratic or circular and not so outstretched like the old island maps?
You could also consider a second new island random map where no player can reach any coastline in the beginning because they are blocked by trees everywhere. Some kind of 'Michi'
or 'Forest Prison' on islands...
Many more variations are considerable: Island maps with gold and stone or without.
Concerning unoccupied islands: They are not necessary. But if you wish to add some, they should be much smaller than the occupied islands. Otherwise you would create random maps that already exist: (Migration or Pilgrims)
Your idea of hilly water sounds fantastic. I have seen that a few times in Mega Random and Moat random maps. It would create tactical advantages for ships who attack from above.
Very interesting.

Yours sincerily.

Hello Zetnus, I thank you a lot for your answer to my request. The island random maps that already exist (like 'islands', 'team-islands' or 'archipelago') are too big and EMPTY and most times too much outstretched and long, which leads to the fact that they are too close together (for my taste), and enemies can land and build there nearly unnoticed. Also space for great battles on the Sea is wasted there. Apart from that, their amount of trees is too little.
What I have in mind is a variation of your fascinating Pangea random map, where each player starts with little space surrounded by great forests. I also like your 'Pangea' and 'Stony shores' coastlines that are blocked with trees and rocks, which makes it difficult to build docks everywhere as well as to land on an enemy island and build there.
More will follow...

Thanks, it's great to hear that you like my maps. I guess the reason why I don't have any island based maps is because no one (until now) has requested one, and I haven't had inspiration of my own about what I could do to make an islands map that is different from what we already have. But I would be willing to make one if you like.
What differences would the map you have in mind feature compared to the normal islands map? Smaller islands with more wood. Anything else? Should there be non-player islands as well? I can also attempt some other stuff like hilly water (to simulate waves) for example.

Zetnus, I really like your beautiful random maps. Especially 'Forgotten World' and the many decorating items you use in each map. (like mountains and rocks etc.) I have all your random maps. But since I myself am only able to create scenarios and not like you able to create random map scripts, I ask you for one kind of map that I think is still missing in your collection. Have you ever thought of creating Island random maps? Small circular islands (one for each player) with much wood on them and little space?
