Historical Accuracy (compatible with any mod)

This mod makes the game more historically accurate by changing the units skins (appearance and equipment) of units using existing in-game assets. Many of the changes involve small details such as helmets, armor and shields.

Consistency has been maintained with the existing stats so that the new appearances align with their respective attributes, such as armor and shield values. Moreover, by using only existing game assets, the modified units integrate seamlessly with the unmodified ones.


This mod can be used with any other mod. To do so, open the game launcher, go to the mod manager, and place this mod in the last position.

Republican troops were designed based on the Pyrrhic Wars (three years before the start of the Grand Campaign). Legionary units were modeled as those from the Gallic Wars (as they were the initial troops in Caesar in Gaul and Imperator Augustus, the latter taking place only 17 years after Caesar in Gaul). Cohort units were equipped according to the typical gear of the Imperial period.
