Star Fire Transport Elite - SFTE

Hello fellow engineers,

Thank you for taking the time to view the Starfire Transport Elite - SFTE, an upgrade in every way to the original Starfire Transport - SFT, if you are interested to see the original SFT, she can be found here:

The main goal of this overhaul was to improve the piping, she now has full large convayers connecting her Large Cargo Container, both Connectors, the Survival Kit and the H2/O2 Generator, all accessible from either outside of the ship from the rear and bottom Connectors, or inside the ship via the Survival Kit, it really makes life a lot easier and is the biggest improvement over the original Starfire Transport.

Her Hydrogen Thrusters have been replaced with nice Ion Thrusters, however she still keeps a few Hydrogen Thrusters on her underside for leaving gravity wells like planets and moons. The Batteries have been replaced with a pair of Reactors, these give ample power, meaning you can use her as a mobile generator if needed, the Reactors also allowed me to replace the Autocannons with a pair or Railguns, slow rate of fire, but superior damage and range.

The Mining Drill has remained, it needed a bit of re-configuring to squeeze it in her underside, but its well worth it, nothing like mining and producing from your captains seat, her Deploy-able Landing Gear is pretty much unchanged along with the Event Controllers that govern the Mining Drill behaviour and replenishment/shut down when you dock using the bottom Connector, and lastly i added a Deploy-able Boarding Ramp! its so cool! never had one on a ship before, it was a bit of an after thought, next time i will build with that in mind.

Over all she is a little slower than before, but having virtually unlimited flight time on planets and in space is sooooo nice! It makes her primary roll of descending to planets so you can set up outposts and search for plants, that much easier.

5) Atmospheric Thrusters B - On/Off (All Reverse Thrusters, switching them off is cruise control)
6) Atmospheric Thrusters UDLRF - On/Off

9) Railguns - Weapon Block Select/Deselect


Action Bar 2:
1) Deploy-able Mining Drill - Forward (Horizontal)
2) Deploy-able Mining Drill - Down - (Vertical)
3) Deploy-able Mining Drill - Fold away and turn off
4) Connector Bottom - Lock/Unlock (Triggers Shutdown and replenish event)
5) Connector Rear - Lock/Unlock
6) Sorters - On/Off (To throw out stone if you don't want it, keep off if you do)
7) H2/O2 Generator - On/Off
8) Antenna - On/Off (In-case you need to lay low)
9) Survival Kit - On/Off (In-case you don't want to spawn at the SFTE)
