Fighting Survivor Names

For users experiencing issues getting the add-on to work properly, I've added a installation section to the bottom of the description.

What's in a name? Many things, apparently. One of these things is called "my survivor mod replaced Bill with an unidentified fancy anime character, and I want the game to stop calling them 'Bill'".

So, here is a little something to remedy that. There are actually plenty of workshop mods that rename the survivors into something more generic or flavorful. In truth, I just wanted to make my own to go with my Killing Hour mod collection. But it works just fine own it's own, too.

Now for the fun fact: The names are pulled from the 1994 Fighting Baseball SNES game, home of world renown baseball players such as Bobson Dugnutt. I've listed the full names here, but in game you will only see the last name. I found it more fitting that way.

Left 4 Dead 1 Survivors

• Bill: Dan Kannan
  
• Zoey: Tracy Scarstone

Left 4 Dead 2 Survivors

Installation (a.k.a 'the mod isn't working')
1. Subscribe to the add-on.
2. Load up L4D2 like normal.
3. WAIT for the add-on to fully download (loading icon should disappear).
4. Exit L4D2.
5. Navigate to: Steam\SteamApps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\addons\workshop
6. Locate the file. The VPK will always be NEXT TO the image for my add-on.
6. (ALTERNATE) Look for the VPK with the numbers '3593056723'.
7. Copy and paste the VPK to: Steam\SteamApps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\addons
8. (OPTIONAL) Rename the VPK to avoid confusion.
9. UNSUBSCRIBE from the add-on.
10. Load up L4D2 again.
11. The add-on should now be working successfully!
