FarCargo is an air freight company based in the Faroe Islands, established in 2021 and operational since March 2024. The airline specializes in transporting fresh seafood—primarily salmon—from the Faroe Islands to international markets. Its main hub is Vágar Airport (FAE), and the company is owned by Bakkafrost, the largest salmon producer in the region. FarCargo operates a converted Boeing 757-200 freighter, capable of carrying approximately 35 tons or 230 cubic meters of cargo. The aircraft is equipped with advanced cooling technology to maintain temperatures around 2°C, ensuring the safe transport of perishable goods such as fish and pharmaceuticals.
