DNS Dominion Class Dreadnought

Description
The Dragoneers humbly present;

The DNS Dominion Class Series Dreadnought

Developed in the twilight years of the Advent Draconian's Service, The Dominion Class was a direct successor to the legacy of it ancestor.

Retaining the main battery of the Advent Draconian, the Dominion carries triple the amount of 330mm double turrets, firing APFR shells at 25.5 RPM, totalling six turrets, or twelve guns total. These turrets are arranged in a well balanced firing scheme, allowing for a broadside of eight guns, or six guns directly fore and aft.

The secondary battery consists of 24 150mm casemates, twelve per side, which now fire supercavitating HESH rounds, allowing the rounds to hit critical armor plates, and under the waterline.

Given the much larger displacement of the new class, and advancements in technology led to the introduction of large underwater torpedo tubes, two per side, mounted in the center of the hull.

Dominion class dreadnoughts were built with lessons derived from the previous ships of the line, and build upon previous strengths. They retain a strong armor belt, while reinforcing that armor with multi-layered deck armor. The detection suite is much more profound, featuring AA tracking units that are synced with the AA suite, which has been improved upon from previous generations. That growth continues even in modern day constructions.

Later in its service life, the Dominion class series remained on active duty as coastal defence ships, deterring larger vessels and strike forces from making advances on allied territory. Deemed too valuable to replace even as modern ships began to make their debut. Currently four ships of the line remain as museum ships in the capital city, but have remained sea worthy, ready to come into action should they be needed.
