Museum Predreadnought DNS Advent Draconian

An older combat ship built under many technological limitations during the founding years, amidst territorial disputes and before many treaties had even been concieved.

Armed with two dual barrel 330mm main battery turrets, capable of firing APFR rounds at a hefty 25 Rpm placed at the fore and aft ends of the superstructure, this ship was a powerhouse in early conflicts with these weapons alone.

Along her sides features 18 150mm casemate guns per side, totalling 36 casemates or 72 secondary guns in total, which were among the first ever to fire armor piercing HEAT rounds. These were able to punch holes in armor and deliver payloads even deeper into any openings created.

Supplementing the anti-ship weaponry is a, for the time, adequate anti-air battery, consisting of 20mm guns and various other small arms amidst the superstructure and the deck.

The Advent Draconian features a higher top speed than most ships of the time, climbing to a staggering 19 meters per second whilst travelling, making her able to effectively reposition for skirmishes in order to defend wherever duty called. Her rounded hull and many rudders allows the ship to make quick and stable turns, making her an effective firing platform

Such robust features came with one overlooked detail, that being the horizontal deck armor, which later battles proved it lacking. While readily able to maintain extended lateral combat, advancements in artillery led to severe damage in later years.

Restored in all her glory with a fresh coat of paint, she is now moored in a port in the capital city, allowing visitors to go on supervised tours through the deck and superstructure.
