Insurgent Class for LWOTC (WIP)

Description
While this is a Work In Progress - this soldier class is fully usable, safe to add or remove mid campaign, and as long as you have the required mods, should be error free. There are experimental features but they are off by default.

(10/21) Added The Guerrilla Doctrine, make sure you have the latest version of ZeroPerkPack if you see an empty ability slot at MSGT

(WIP) - Currently working on the implementation of this mod along with an 'advanced training' mod for soldiers to undergo training in specific additional perks, an add-on to the AWC facility in the style of TeslaRage's Soldier Conditioning mod - this class will get a rework once that mod is complete to integrate the training school approach.

The purpose of this class is to provide a 'default' xcom soldier for LWOTC-
They have a wide and versatile skillset that should respect several playstyles without creating soldiers that outshine standard classes.

Nearly everything about the class is configurable, so you can refine the class to your taste.

Currently this is one half of the planned implementation for this soldier class, and it will be constantly undergoing changes as I refine it.

This class is tested and working right now, but let me know if there are any issues, missing text or icons, or with general feedback.

The intention here is to create a basic soldier class that can fulfill all mission requirements without eclipsing any of the other soldier classes when it comes to specialized roles or functions.

By default the Insurgent can equip a rifle, smg, combat knife, and gremlin.
When the gremlin is equipped, they gain access to basic gremlin functions - enough to complete mission objectives and provide a little utility, but they are outclassed easily by gremlin classes.

The combat knife provides "run and slice" but not any basic melee attacks.

They can, at current, unlock the ability to use a cannon, shotgun, sniper rifle and sword through rank progression.

Their Master SGT rank is slightly randomized, so each insurgent will potentially have different valid build paths, so you can spam the class and each soldier will retain a somewhat unique identity and skill set.

Future Plans -
Once the companion mod for soldier training is complete, the MSGT rank will be slightly reworked and the 'doctrine' perks will be moved into the training facility.

Transferring resistance personnel to the avenger from a haven as 'insurgents' was the original idea, but it may not be a feasible way to integrate this class into the game.

Currently there is a disabled 'promote to insurgent' option in the config, that creates a promote button to directly promote rookies to the insurgent class - safe to use alongside commanders choice or choose my class - if you activate it, you'll just have an additional 'promote' button.

Big thanks to Anthogator for the class icon.

@xf100t Musashi already thought of that in his vest mod, because of course he did and made it so that if you assign a soldier class or an ability in the config, it makes sure that it only applies to that soldier or that ability. This mod contains a config for VestSlots that makes it so that it only grants the free vest slot if you have the ability indicated. So it will not affect any soldiers that do not have the vest slot granting ability.

Won't that screw up all of my other classes?

Okay nice, thanks for the reply <3

The Vest slot Mod is just to enable a "free" slot on this soldier class, its an additional dedicated slot that you can only equip vests in, like a grenade slot or an ammo slot.

I'm also confused about the vest slot. There are already built in slots for vests in LWOTC

Interesting concept. I'm finishing my current campaign as is, but I'll try this in the next campaign.

The ShadowOps Perk Pack is the source of shadowOps perks, but it hasn't been updated in several years, it's still a requirement for most LWOTC stuff. If you do install it and find your classes disabled, you can go to that mods config folder and find these lines in XComGameCore.ini -

[ShadowOpsPerkPack.TemplateEditors]
+ClassesToDisable="LWOTC_Assault"
+ClassesToDisable="LWOTC_Shinobi"
+ClassesToDisable="LWOTC_Sharpshooter"
+ClassesToDisable="LWOTC_Specialist"
+ClassesToDisable="LWOTC_Gunner"
+ClassesToDisable="LWOTC_Ranger"
+ClassesToDisable="LWOTC_Grenadier"
+ClassesToDisable="LWOTC_Technical"
+ClassesToDisable="Ranger"
+ClassesToDisable="Sharpshooter"
+ClassesToDisable="Grenadier"
+ClassesToDisable="Specialist"

Just add a semi colon before each line you want to 'cancel'

+ClassesToDisable="LWOTC_Assault"
becomes
;+ClassesToDisable="LWOTC_Assault"

Or just delete the line you don't like.

To use this mod i need the shadow ops perk pack. This mod claims to replace the default classes from LWOTC(Infantry, specialist, ect) with others (hunter for example). It there a way to add your class to my rooster without replacing the original LWOTC classes?

@david, not in my experience
