A small spooky sandbox map set in a haunted house.



Description

Shrouded deep within the trees of Gloomwood Swamp lies a gorgeous relic of the past; The Henbane Mansion. Built by Charles Henbane in the early 1800s, this mansion has been the residency of every single member of the Henbane family, living or otherwise! Each creaking floorboard, every gust of wind, and just about all of the gaudy design choices, are the soft ghostly hands of a Henbane, looking to share a scare on this night!



Notes

First and foremost this map, whilst spooky, contains NO JUMPSCARES.

Henbane Mansion can be found as 'gm_henbane' in the sandbox tab. This map was an absolute monster to complete in the time frame I gave myself. There is plenty that was not finished by my final deadline (roof and attic are unfortunately in-accessable), however I still believe it to be a perfectly good Halloween map! Also having learned from my previous 2 maps, this map contains both multiple spawns (for ttt compatibility) and an actual navmesh! Feel free to run screaming from the most demonic and horrific nextbots that the workshop can spawn. As always, feedback and criticism are appreciated, and I am considering adding more content to the map as the month goes on so be sure to hurry baaack.

It's a bit dark, even with flashlight hard to look around the place.
Other than that, awesome map.

Fun little map, needs a real nodegraph or just unpack the current one (the .ain file before packing the map) so custom nodes can be made. :steamthumbsup:


On another note recently some malicious addons have been uploaded to mimic popular addons. On of them pretends to be this map

Considering the map is unfinished & will be updated overtime, I would like to provide some stuff that needs to be fixed:

-The stove in the kitchen is not against the wall, thus rendering no-draw if you look behind it.

-One of the very large trees on the property has a large hit-box that will eat your attacks when you swing near it.

-Some foliage like bushes are floating.

-There is a floating breaker panel in the cellar near the stairway.

-The door's texture in the cellar are mirrored wrong when you open them & their side texture display the wooden texture.
