October 1942. The Germans have advanced through the city of Stalingrad to the main focal point of Soviet resistance in the North - the tractor factory. Here, the Soviets establish dogged defenses of the factory complex, using regularly infantry, conscripted factory workers, an naval infantry, to ensure the safety of the machines that still churn out T-34s in against the Nazi invaders. Wehrmacht troops, supported by their panzers and the every preying Luftwaffe hawks above, must fight tooth and nail to wrest control over one of the last holdouts on the west bank of the Volga...

This mission consists mainly of infantry urban combat, with some close-range armored engagements, and limited air support. I encourage you to play on both sides, and get a feel for the merciless CQB as both attackers and defenders. There is a Soviet sniper spawn in one of the industrial pipes (phase +1) that's especially fun to play as...
