L'ETR Y 0530 era un elettrotreno costruito da Fiat Ferroviaria ed ADtranz per il servizio sulla linea Torino-Ceres.

Furono ordinati in un totale di sette treni, numerati da 001 a 007, composti da due elementi che formavano un binato permanentemente accoppiato. Sono stati costruiti ed immessi in circolazione, per le prove, a partire dal 1997; il servizio effettivo è iniziato nel 2000.

Nel 2006,in concomitanza con l'elettrificazione della ferrovia canavesana, i convogli furono trasferiti tutti sulla Ferrovia Canavesana e sulla Torino-Chieri, entrambe servite da GTT.

Il 31 dicembre 2020, con il passaggio di gestione della Ferrovia Canavesana Trenitalia, gli elettrotreni sono stati radiati dal servizio e, successivamente, demoliti.

The ETR Y 0530 was an electric trainset built by Fiat Ferroviaria and ADtranz to operate on the Turin-Ceres line.

A total of seven trains, numbered from 001 to 007, were ordered. They were composed of two permanently coupled cars. They were built and put into testing runs starting from 1997; the operative service began in 2000.

In 2006, when the electrification of the Canavesana railway was completed, all the trains were transferred to that line and to the Turin-Chieri line (both operated by GTT administration).

On December 31, 2020, Trenitalia began the effective operator of the Canavesana Railway; the electric trainsets were withdrawn from service and scrapped afterwards.
