It apparently broke with an update a while ago.
Anyway, a helpful commenter, Unruly, explained sufficiently for a complete novice like me to fix it.
I thought peeps might like to get this script without any of the fannying about with a C# editor.

It works. You run the programmable block with the argument "Scan" and it puts the gps into the Custom Data of your tagged LCD.

From there you can make a new GPS.

I didn't (couldn't) write this script.
I am not a programmer so if it stops working or causes any issues, I don't know why.
I believe Blargmode is no longer active, but if they want me to take this down, I will.
