HMD V4

Description
Changes from HMD V3
  • ID input format changed (SRD3)
  • 1,792 types of target markers implemented
  • Delay reduction
  • Attitude indicator angle can now be freely adjusted
  • When only the attitude indicator is displayed, a horizon line is now drawn in the center as well

Features
  • Seat-mounted HMD
  • Three-dimensional
  • No display errors
  • Freely customizable
  • Easy setup
  • Laser rangefinder direction correction
  • Waypoint display available (WPD1 input)
  • Radar response display available (SRD3 input)
  • Radar response symbol customization available
  • Map V3, FCS Type 6, VLS Mk. 10, includes SM Type 3

Description
Improved HMD V4 now supports more radar responses. It can also display IFF-compatible FCS information.
Currently, 1,792 radar responses are implemented, with more to be added in the future.
This uses an SRD3 input terminal, which correctly displays inputs in the correct format.

4: Regarding ID,
When no target is being output: ID = 0
Identification ID for each target (value displayed on the HMD): 1-999
Basic symbol: ID = ID + Symbol No. * 10^3
Symbol color: ID = ID + Color No. * 10^4
Static additional functions: ID = ID + Static additional function No. * 10^5
Dynamic additional functions: ID = ID + Dynamic additional function No. * 10^6

By adding a value of 10^3 or more to the target ID, you can display any mark.
Marks can be freely combined.
See the image for details on each number.

Property Supplement
Main speed: Select the speed displayed within the square frame. If you select "ground speed," ground speed will be displayed within the frame, and atmospheric altitude will be displayed below it.
Radar delete tick: The amount of time target information will be retained since the last target output to the SRD2. SR V3 only outputs a target the moment it is detected, so it requires about 100 ticks, but FCS Type 6 outputs a predicted value almost every tick, so about 10 ticks is sufficient.

I used INGENMAME's MAMElink v0.7 as the IFF!

You can place the radar anywhere, but the closer it is to the Physics sensor the better the accuracy.

Can all 4 radars be on the same stack?

Technically, any radar that can output SRD3 will do. It's not that difficult, so if you need it urgently, I recommend making it yourself.
I'll also make a simple airborne radar, the SR V4, sometime soon.

It's just difficult fitting everything into smaller aircraft, the microcontroller size is fine but it's the amount of external equipment that's difficult. Mainly I think its the Radars, having 4 small radars stacked on top of each other would probably work best for smaller vehicles.

If you don’t mind, could you tell me specifically which parts you’d like to be made a bit more compact?
Echoless 17 Oct @ 3:09pm
Oh not a problem lol.

I think I accidentally deleted your comment. Sorry.

V5 should be much more compact, aint no way am I fitting this in any of my planes.

Just place the Physics Sensor on the same merge as the seat (ideally as close to the head as possible) and connect the node to the microcontroller!

How would I put the HMD in a plane?
