Updated vanilla viewmodel with new animations which solves the culprits in its animation - right hand during reload no longer jerks and is no longer grabby during idle, among other miscellaneous things. Essentially what this mod does is that it makes the Military Sniper Rifle viewmodel more appealing in higher FOV.

I have done following changes to the military sniper rifle:
  • Modified view model animations for idle and reload sequences so animations no longer look broken (main feature of the mod)
  • Readded the melee animation which was omited by default for better look position blending during the bashing animation
  • Changed event sounds in a sequence when reloading the military sniper rifle so the clip's magazine makes an appropriate clicking sound after insertion
  • Modified view model animations for extended arms sequences so the weapon bolt is no longer sunken into the weapon

I have shipped both the regular mod content and source files, just like I did with my previous mod.

New weapon files from the TLS update do not have this issue by default so I believe it's fixed.

I know I made a mod that has been made multiple times already by lots of different people on Steam Workshop. However, I wanted with this mod to finally show-off myself as I just learned how to make such mods, without breaking animations, properly this time. This way I will be able to make some spin-off mods like those from "Old-School" collection I made some years ago. Once I complete this collection, I will attempt to make those spin-offs happen. Thank you for all the positive reception of my mods.

Well, maybe, in some other mod. What you are describing to me counts as a full remake of animations rather than fixes to the animation which is unfortunately outside of my scope for now. Thing is, I am not so much of animator myself, I mostly managed to fix these issues through the text editor since it returns me more consistent results. Good idea though.

I don't know if this is in your plans, but would you consider tweaking the first person firing animation so the recoil isn't as exaggerated, and the first person reloading animations so it doesn't seem like the survivors are just re inserting the same mag they took out?

Oh, thanks for pointing this one out. I actually forgot this was also an issue with the viewmodel because it's so minor it doesn't affect the viewmodel silhouette much. I only really paid attention to the outline of the viewmodel, not what is visible on viewmodel. :aurip:

This looks great!. Only thing missing would be to fix the sinking bolt issue during helpinghand / itemgrab animations.
