Description
"The NSB Di 8 is a class of diesel-electric locomotives built by Maschinenbau Kiel (MaK), while it was part of Siemens Schienenfahrzeugtechnik, for the Norwegian State Railways (NSB). The locomotives are equipped with a Caterpillar 3516 DI-TA prime mover, which provides a power output of 1,570 kilowatts (2,110 hp) and a starting tractive effort of 270 kilonewtons (61,000 lbf)." - Wikipedia

This mod is a conversion of OlaHaldor's Di8 from Train Fever. I've added new 4K textures, more liveries, interior and LODs. As well as some adjustments to make it fit in to TpF2. Rest is his work. It includes 6 liveries from NSB, CargoNet and GB Railfreight. It uses ingame costs for balance. I hope you'll enjoy it!

The Di8 is a powerful, medium sized, four-axle diesel locomotive built by MaK for NSB. They are based on the NS Class 6400 and the DE 1002, but the Di8 were longer, more powerful and more modern. The need for a replacement for the Di3 diesel locomotives were big and hence the Di8 was ordered. They were used as heavy shunters and used on cargo trains. Usually run in pairs in order to get optimal power ratio for mainline operations. But as time passed they proved to be both uneconomical and underdimensioned. As CargoNet had a good fleet of both CD66 and CD312 locomotives, they decided to sell their Di8's. In 2011, half of the Di8 was sold to GB Railfreight for use at the Teesside Steelworks until 2015. They are still in service at Scunthorpe Steelworks. The rest was transfered back to NSB as rescue and towing locomotives in 2013, where they are still used.

@!-Blokkemessi-!

@Rachammer If Anton lets me make a reskin of his, yes. Still, it is far down my priority list. There is a bigger need for more electric locomotives and EMUs

Diesel train: Its shape is a bit long and narrow, making it quite innovative.
The design of the letters on the side is also cool. Also, the texture of the material seems different from other people's, but that's cool. Thank you.
