NASCOW Racecar - Velari™ Orbiter Nascow-Edition

This is the NASCOW-series Racecar version of the VELARI™ Orbiter.
It is a dangerous beast! So only for advanced drivers!

When confronted with the task of making a car suited for the notorious NASCOW-series, VELARI™ chose to modify their then most succesful car: the Orbiter!

The in-line-6 engine was replaced with the much more powerful and much bigger V-6. It was so big, that the engineers had to remove most of the hood - One of the most noticeable features of the NASCOW-Orbiter is it's exposed, huge engine! They also enlaged the grill, to help with cooling the big aggregate (which, considering the missing hood, might have been not necessary after all.) This also led to changes of the front lights design. (keeping the front lights was perceived necessary, in case of night races.)

Another very obvious change is the wider body, with extended fenders, to make room for the much larger wheels.
Also, all the interior except for the drivers seat and the steering wheel was removed - Somehow the engineers at VELARI™ thought it was a good idea to not sacrifice these two things in the hunt for weight savings.

After extensive tests, it was clear that the car was too front heavy and didn't handle too well. So the ingenious VELARI™-engineers decided to add on to the already existing aerodynamic kit of the Orbiter. This made the NASCOW-car much more stable and the casulties amongst the test drivers were reduced to more acceptable numbers.

Today, the Orbiter-NASCOW-edition is still an outstanding racecar and very competitive in the much-loved cow-class.
