Character Selector / Customisation (Cut Content but Working?)

Since it is possible to use UI interfaces on random panels i found out the unused menu for the Character Customisation does actually work fully?
This makes me wonder why it was cut.
Also from the looks of it, it was an additional menu that was either selected from the main menu or pause menu as it has the same layout as the other menus have.

You can select what nationality, age, suit texture (and colours what do not work here) for your player model.

If a skin is selected, the game then will spawn you with that skin when you play a level.
If you die, it will randomise again (but it still will spawn you with the selected skin on a new restart).
It basically saves your appearance.

This does also work in multiplayer for both host and clients what makes this even a little bit more strange why the janitor selection / customisation was removed from the actual game.
