The Yamato at the time of her construction was the most powerful and advanced ship the Cosmo Fleet had ever made, mostly due to the introduction of Wave Motion technology. She was the fastest, capable of going far beyond the solar system, as well as the most powerful due to it being one of the few known ships to be armed with a Wave Motion cannon. She'd soon become even more famous as she would save Earth from destruction while also inflicting devastating damage against the Garmillas Empire while taking low casualties.
