Relations Tab (Continued)

Description
This is a continuation of Relations Tab by Fluffy https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=709317151

Replaces the faction tab with a relations tab. The relations tab shows, in a
very graphical way, relations between your colonists and with other
factions.

In games with many faction mods or a lot of colonists, the dynamic displays
may 'explode'. There's three things you can do to mitigate this problem;

- Use the static circle view. In the top right of the tab there is a button
to switch between circle and dynamic views (may be hidden underneath the
tutorial window).
- Reset the dynamic view until it stops exploding. The button to reset the
dynamic algorithm is in the top right of the window, next to that for cicle
view (and may also be hidden by the tutorial).
- Tweak the parameters for the dynamic algorithm. In the mod options (Menu
-> Options -> Mod Options -> Relations Tab)
you can tweak the parameters for the algorithm. There is a short description
of what each parameter does in the options as well.

- In games with a lot of factions/colonists, the algorithm may 'explode'.
See the 'Notes' section on how to fix this.
- Some mods (noticably, the Zabrak faction) change pawn rendering in such a
way that it breaks the relations tab. I'm looking for the root cause of
this.

By the way, here's another idea that might interest you: If you have the skills, you could try to make a mod setting that would allow the player to make the Relations Tab button separate from the vanilla faction button. This would immediately solve the problem of some mods being incompatible with the Relations Tab. In this case, instead of creating a patch for each mod, the player will be able to simply select a checkbox in the settings that will restore the vanilla tab

If you want a quick hack to use this without replacing any existing Factions button, you can edit RelationsTab\Defs\MainButtonDefs\RelationsTab.xml. Change defName from Factions to Relations and change order from 90 to something like 85. I tested that with VFE - Classical and does suffice as a workaround.

I saw what was happening; Unfortunately, since it is a dependency on VFE - Classical, it will need to be done as a separate add-on. I understand what needs to be done, the View Perks for the factions that have them and the players Perks button at the top. I am trying to work on it but this is a new programming environment for me and I am still learning.

@cykonetic in VFE-Classical, there is a button for bonuses from empires. I think it is almost identical to how the button was placed in the Rim Language Patch. VFE-Classical does not break the Relations Tab in any way. Without the patch, the Relations Tab simply does not have a button to open the tab for bonuses and mechanics of interactions with factions added by the VFE-Classical mod

@Sabre Cybranian - Social Interface seems fine to me.

You do know the button on the top left toggles between colonists and factions? That doesn't fix VFE-Classical, unfortunately. I am looking at creating a setting to allow you to chose to Replace Factions Button or Add Standalone Button. If they are separated, then VFE - Classical works as expected and it doesn't seem to break other patches.

I am looking into the VFE-Classical patch. Based on the code I am looking at from the Rim Language Patch, it can be done. Sadly, I am new to C# so it might take me a while.

@5katz yes, it completely replaces it

Does this version still, like the original, entirely replace the Faction view tab? If so how possible is a version / fork / update to make this relation tab an additional button, instead of removing the faction screen entirely in favor of the pawn layout?

Can you please add a compatibility patch for Vanilla Factions Expanded - Classical?
