Hacking Expansion

Description



A content expansion focused on enhancing hacking mechanics. It will allow you to unlock superior technologies and become a master hacker, while also introducing new threats and challenges.

No DLC's are required to use it. It's more fun with them, but the mod adds hackable content on it's own.

The mod is designed to fit seamlessly with the base game, and I’ve done my best to balance it accordingly.

As always, all suggestions about balance and content are very welcome. I can’t promise to implement them all, but I love reading your creative ideas.






































Recommended mods:
  • Odyssey DLC - adds a ton of hackable things and the cyberpod works great on gravships
  • Ideology DLC - adds plenty of hackable things

Incompatible mods:
None at the moment.

A: YES.

A: YES.

Q: Is the source code available somewhere?
A: Yes, my GitHub is BlueEagle421.

Q: CE?
A: No idea.

Q: Can I add it mid-play to an existing save?
A: Yes, but some content is available only while generating the map for the first time.

Q: Can I remove it mid-play?
A: I wouldn't recommend it, but if you somehow manage to erase all the mod content from the save, it could work.

Q: Is this mod part of Vanilla Expanded series?
A: No, it's not.

All the graphics, XML and programming done by me - BlueEagle421 (Ushanka back in the days). I decided to use my old nick here, because it was used in all the other mods.

@xVALERAx: I agree. I found data ripping to be tedious and slow. I wish we could just enable or disable ripping, and let it be automatic.

Pawn are not able to use abilites in pod, Data Ripping should be used on everything automaticaly, to much clicking for few data.

Are ancient defender turrets supposed to be unhackable or is it a bug on my end? I have the option to hack turrets on but are unable to.

"relics quest hack_spacedrone"(dlc), "work site" may sometime have some turrets, prisoner recruit, "distress signal"(dlc) if they are Non tribal. attack bases and lastly add mods like "[Glittertech Expanson] Urban ruined, VE rebel" for a examples,

hey so where can i find more stuff to hack? beyond mechanoids i havent seen anything outside of what generated with my tile.
