Guide to actually get past level 5
By GuyFromBattlefield6
This guide will help you make a build for those who aren't sure what to go, allowing them to try this, and hopefully make it into a tier 3 area, and clear the boss as easy as possible.

Your Starter Tomes for a God Run
“God Runs” are built around three specific Tomes. Getting this combo online is your number one priority.

Curse Tome: This makes the game harder by spawning way more enemies. Sounds bad, right? Wrong.
Second, XP Gain Tome: This one boosts the experience you get from all sources.

Finally, Luck Tome: Luck is described as the most important stat in the game. It directly improves the quality and rarity of the choices for all level ups.

If you're wondering how to unlock these tomes, here's some help.
For the curse tome, beat a stage boss under 5 minutes.

0.01% chance when killing an enemy for the luck tome, i suggest going into forest Tier 1, and just farming, its the easiest option, and you should get it relatively fast.

And for the xp tome, just break 20 pots in 1 run.
Stats and Characters
If you want me to be honest, dice head is op, like seriously op. BUT, if you don't have him, don't worry. Getting Chad, or CL4NK will work.

Stat Priorities: How to Not Waste Your Level
Its going to be Luck stat, Movement stat, and after those 2 as your main, Attack speed, then evasion, and finally life steal. Those are the core especially if you don't have dice head.

If you don't know how to unlock these characters, here's how.

Megachad, Upgrade your damage tome to level 7 or higher.
And CL4NK, Clear the Forest area at tier 1.
Finally, dice head, complete 100 quests.

THE BUILDS (upd. 1.0.4)
The Walking Apocalypse 9/27

This is one of the easiest and most effective builds. It's been around since the demo 4 months ago.The goal is to create a massive, deadly circle around you that instantly destroys anything that comes close. Just stack Aura weapons and focus on upgrades for Attack Size and Attack Speed/Cooldown. When you can get aura to level 40, its officially a walking nuke!

The Game Breaking Dice Build 9/27

This build abuses what might be the most unbalanced weapon in the game: the Dice. The Dice has an upgrade that permanently increases your critical hit chance. Get the Dice, level it up to get that permanent crit chance, it will proceed to complete the build allowing your other weapons feel alot better

The CL4NK Build 9/27
Playing as CL4NK, who has natural synergies with Luck and Curses, you focus 100% on finding those three Tomes. It’s a high risk, high reward play style centered on aggressively farming the massive enemy waves you create with curse. I REALLY emphasize the risk part, this character can be so bad, that you wont make it past lvl 5, but when you get the right items he becomes almost as good as dice head late game.

My personal fav 9/27
Amog
Get Poison flask, frost walkers, and aura.
Curse tome, exp tome, size tome, and damage tome
my go to items were the mallet (does increased damage to bosses and elites) amogs mask, (gives life-steal and armor based on poisoned enemys) and moldy cheese, (poisons enemy by 40%)
Other items don't really matter, just get ones that can match your build
During this run i was level 227.

249K Kill Dice Head Build 9/27
Dice, aegis shield, and aura - each level 40
Luck tome, curse tome, damage tome, and exp tome. (if you're wondering how to get 4 tomes, you just need to play the game and do quests)
Spicy meatball (a bomb that does damage to enemies around its explosion) is great to have, especially with big bonk (extra damage to bosses/elites)
This build will have the stats put out!!
My damage hit 218.8x
Crit chance with dice and other stats was 259%
size, project speed, duration, dmge to elite, knockbacls, and mov speed, were all in the 1.4x range to 1.8x
luck was 920%, with my difficulty (curse) being 660%.
This build is more than likely the same as everyone else in the top bracket, such as Contact, Dex, etc.

The true beginner friendly Sir Oofie build 9/27
Weapons: Sword, Aegis, Chunkers (if you have 4th weapon unlocked you can pick any)
Tome: Size, Projectile Quantity, xp, damage
Items: Your choice, but prioritize Demonic Soul, Power Gloves, and Mirror
This build heavily relies on your Sword, which is why Sir Oofie is for it. He starts with the Sword and can start leveling it immediately. Focus on gaining more and more projectiles for the sword (and the other weapons), while increasing the knockback, size, and damage it does. After several upgrades, you should have so many sword swipes covering such a large area that standing and doing nothing will become a viable strat

RNG Fox 9/27
This build is based on Luck and only on Luck.
The items you will need are the Clover and Luck Tome.
prioritize leveling up as much as possible at first, only boosting Fox’s starting weapon and maybe adding the Lightning Staff as well, i dont think you should really add any other weapon since this is really all you need to win the run.
(you can also get the crit chance stat if it pops up)
Once you’ve leveled up for the most part of up the game, you can start visiting Shrines and Vendors, the increased Luck stat will improve. EVERY. CHEST. This greatly improves chances to drop something super powerful.
Giant Fork is one example, giving Critical Strikes a chance to Critically Strike and become Megacrits (if you actually leveled crit then go this). Overpowered Lamp is another, making on-hit effects proc twice. Big Bonk gives a chance for a x20 multiplier on attacks, and so on. Make sure to get attack speed aswell, this will be insane clear for the run.

Calcium the skater
Calcium’s damage scales with his movement speed, so his best build is based on mobility and keeping his distance from enemies, with his starter bone, 2nd reveolver, 3rd flamewalker, and if you have a 4th, go for bow. Bone and Revolver are both potent, ranged weapons that can take care of enemies with ease.
Thank you @Walter Wu for making me think about what to prio at the start!
Start focusing on Quantity and Attack Speed Tomes early on to scale damage faster.- Items like Turbo Socks and Skates will synergize with Calcium’s passive, increasing movement speed and damage output. Flamewalker adds a nice passive attack that scales with the constant movement.
Other than the quantity tome, and attack speed tome, go movement tome, and damage tome.
Tome Tier List
SSSSSS-tier Curse tome - become mister moneybags himself (this will spawn more enemies, but therefore that means more gold and xp to earn allowing you to climb to higher time in the endgame.)

S Tier
Cool down Tome – Faster attacks and shorter skill delays are always game-winning. Every weapon benefits.

Quantity Tome – Extra projectiles mean more hits, more procs, and more damage.

Cooldown tome
Attack Speed Tome – Scales with almost everything and makes slow weapons actually usable.

XP Tome – Faster leveling means more upgrades per run, which is snowball fuel.

A Tier
Damage Tome – Raw power, but weaker if you don’t have multi-hit weapons.

Size Tome – Bigger attacks and explosions are amazing for crowd control.

Shield Tome – Extra sustain that can save runs, especially in higher tiers.

Regen Tome – Good safety net for longer maps, though slower than shield.

Precision Tome – Crit chance is always strong, and overcrits give insane scaling.

Thorns Tome – Works in specific builds and can be fun, but usually falls behind stronger offensive options.

B Tier
Armor Tome – Helps against chip damage, but scaling isn’t as explosive as offense.

Evasion Tome – Great on paper, but RNG makes it unreliable for saving a run.

Luck Tome – Lets you roll higher tier items and shrine rewards, but delayed payoff.

Attraction Tome – Amazing for AFK or lazy runs, decent otherwise.

Bloody Tome – Lifesteal is nice, but you need reliable multi-hit weapons for it to shine.

C Tier
Silver Tome – Only useful if you’re grinding silver. Doesn’t help win runs.

Golden Tome – Same idea as silver, just for gold. Farming only.

Projectile Speed Tome – Makes some weapons better, but usually low impact.

Duration Tome - Anything that has a timed amount is extended.

Agility Tome – Movement speed helps, but it’s rarely the difference maker. as i stated above this is your prio stat depending on build, If you get the right build then this is op as ♥♥♥♥, so take this c-tier as a situational :)

HP Tome – More max health doesn’t fix being out-damaged or swarmed.

Knockback Tome – Fun utility, but weaker than raw damage or speed scaling.

Tomes should always be picked with synergy in mind. Attack speed, cooldown, and projectile count are universal power picks since they scale with every weapon. If you’re running defensive builds like Aegis or want AFK challenge clears, shield and regen can be lifesavers. Farming tomes like silver or gold only make sense if your goal is progression rather than finishing a tier.

If you're wondering why there's no weapon tier list, i think that almost all weapons can be useful, but obviously others can be better than another.
weapon tierlist
S - Tier
Dice - Throws dice dealing 1-6 damage. If you roll a six, it will permanently increase your critical chance.
Revolver - Fires several bullets at the enemies. It is an incredible weapon for crowd control.
Aura - Damages enemies in an area around you, as another solid way to deal with hordes of mobs.
Bones - Throws bones that bounce off the enemies and do serious chain damage.

A - Tier
Firestaff - Shoots fireballs that explode on impact, inflicting burn damage.
Bananarang - Throws bananas that return to the owner, hitting multiple enemies on their path.
Aegis - This shield can block incoming attacks and send out shockwaves.
Poison Flask - A flask can be thrown at enemies that deal area damage and poison enemies on hit.
Hero Sword - A sword can slice through multiple enemies and also, fire a slashing projectile.
Corrupted Sword - Slash in both directions. Increased damage while low on health.

B - Tier
Chunkers - Summons chunky rocks that orbit around you.
Lightning Staff - Summons lightning to smite nearby enemies.
Sword - Slashes through multiple enemies.
Black Hole - Shoots a black hole that pulls all enemies inside.
Axes - Throws spinning axes that deal area damage.
Dexecutioner - A piercing blade with a small chance to instantly execute an enemy.
Dragon’s Breath - Fires a fierce dragon’s breath in the movement direction.

C - Tier
Bow - Solid ranged weapon perfect for beginners. Reliable damage and good for learning positioning and kiting.
Sniper - High-damage piercing weapon that requires precise aiming. Great with crit builds but requires skill to master.
Shotgun - like the sniper in terms of control
Icy boots, and flame walker boots.

D - Tier
Wireless dagger - Like the katana, this dagger can bring down enemies swiftly at high speed.
Slutty Rocket: honing missiles can take out waves of enemies at once
Blood Magic - Blood Magic can increase max HP with kills, but the rate (5%) is too low
Space Noodle: A strange weapon lacking in every area
Mine - so pointless

E - Tier
Tornado
This is by far my most hated weapon, does no damage, just shoots at the worst angles, damage is bad, upgrading size wont help it, blocks my screen when too large, just a very irritating weapon to have. (im sure it can be viable, but in all my runs, it just lacks.)

Synergies (WIP)
Now making a weapon synergies list will be kinda difficult, only for the fact that it'll always rely on the person you play; example: Bandit can run dexecutioner, katana, lightning staff, and bow. These 4 combined on BANDIT are good, but on another person like athena, its useless. I'll try to make these synergies based on the characters in the game, just not as a whole list of the weapons.
Shrines
Stone face statue, which gives a free item.

Gold chest which also gives a free item.

Shrine of succ, it attracts all xp on map.

Microwave, duplicates 1 item, at the cost of another of a similar tier, example: Epic item = epic item, legendary= legendary.

Challenge shrine, makes enemies harder, but gives more items.

Greed shrine, it looks like a skull on a stick, it increases the difficulty by 5%, but gives more money.
(greed shrine does help with the curse tome)

VERSION 1.0.4 PATCH NOTES
- Weapon and Tome slots are unlocked earlier now (25 and 35 for 3rd slots, 45 and 55 for 4th slots)
- All characters are about 10% faster, and the slower characters are much faster
- Athena now gains +2 Thorns per level. Also increases her attack speed by 150% when no shields are active. Maybe Quin can actually deal some damage now idk?
- Ogre - More jump height and also axe spawns with 2 projectiles
- Dicehead - Passive has been nerfed for late game, so hopefully he's not the only character on the leaderboards anymore. You just have been asking me to fix this, but I already know my ass is gonna get blasted for nerfing him :)
- Calcium - Passive deals more damage with speed now
- Bush - spawns more marks and also gains crit damage per level
- Chunkers - Increased base damage and damage upgrades
- Dice - Fixed a bug where the dice was increasing crit chance for all your weapons, instead of just the dice itself
- Cactus projectiles can no longer pierce Aegis, and can be evaded as well. Also they shoot less cactus projectiles
- Clover has been slightly buffed
- Shotgun range has been increased
- Microwaves are cheaper
- Exploding spiders deal less damage and have less HP
- Refresh, Skip & Banish are cheaper early game

Now dice might be more useless, including dicehead himself per words of Mr Bonk himself "Passive has been nerfed for late game, so hopefully he's not the only character on the leaderboards"

With the cactus nerf, you should be able to make aegis an item for projectile defense now in desert T2.

Ogres buff might not even make him better, his damage lacks, and his axes still feel like throwing paper.

Calciums passive buff will make him feel better for more damage, since he's already in a good spot, it makes him better than thos forest runs absolutely destroying ♥♥♥♥ with his bones.

Bush's buff makes him feel even better aswell, he already felt decent, but now he feels like a great ad killer.

Theres also a new item, tho i have no clue what it does.

I'll experiment with some builds for yall! Let me know of any discoveries you find please :)
The end
Let me know if i missed anything!!!
I plan to update this as long as im playing it. (or until i dont want to update this!)
Thx for checking the guide out!

@Gnarl if you're referring to the first T3 boss in forest i agree, but for anubis i feel his attacks are to consistent to go for the shield, unless you're cl4nk i dont see the reason going for it, instead of going for lifesteal, or hp regen. BUT, i could be wrong since i never really go shield, so thank you for the insight Gnarl :)

Nice guide :) This seems like a good place to add that the Tier 3 boss is beaten quite easily by using the Shield tome. It easily doubles your total HP and regenerates fast if you mess up and get hit too many times while charging the pillars etc. The difficulty is that it's a battle of attrition but you have lost your HP regen, but this solves that and likely allows most builds to defeat him.

@DopeRice youre completely right, its too narrow the drop pool. I do banish certain items, example: Burger. I don't like the item and its just lacks, but i usually try to get some amount of certain healing items, then banishing it. You do it based on what you need, if you notice you need more health regen since you cant find any lifesteal go for it, then banish it later, but if you get enough luck, you only get purple and above. Turn off keys in your toggle on/off option, and any other item you don't want, it'll help slightly, but for most of the time its better to use banish to get the tome you need, or weapon.
DopeRice 29 Sep @ 12:02pm
Do you banish certain items, I feel like some of the common items are way better than others most of the time. For example I banish burger, but on the fence for things like cursed doll, tactical glasses, keys, medkit, gold gloves...etc

Not because some are bad, but it seems way better to narrow the drop pool.

@Yaekai I had made these earlier when i didnt have the shop unlocked. They are in need of an update! thx for telling me.
Yaekai 29 Sep @ 4:14am
why no 4th weapon/tome?
GuyFromBattlefield6  [author] 27 Sep @ 7:24pm
@Walter Wu i can try to do something like a weapon tier list, but in the beginning i try to level 1 weapon, while prioritizing my tomes. In most my runs im usually only using 2-3 weapons, unless your tomes aren't coming in, then prio your weapon.
Walter Wu 27 Sep @ 3:59pm
also do you lv tombs as much as possible in the beggining, or do you lv up everything evenly with tombs and weapons
Walter Wu 27 Sep @ 3:57pm
Can u add a weapon tier list, or what weapons go synergize well together, I feel like every time I do a run with curse tomb and exp, I get a lot of lv, but not enough dmg.
GuyFromBattlefield6  [author] 27 Sep @ 11:41am
And the difficulty percentage im not sure, i usually have 56% average after the first boss, then i try to get the tome to lvl 99 for a leader board run @Яeveng3ance
