Brisbane - Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia

Description
Hello All!

I'm pleased to present my very first map for Transport Fever 2, "Brisbane to the Gold Coast"!

This map was heavily inspired by the Brisbane map made by Jotrain Gamer, and the Gold Coast map by Christiannnn.
What started as a project to see if I could "Stitch" them together, and quickly learning that was a very dumb idea, turned into one hell of a ride in map making.

Some things to note:

- The height map used is based on LIDAR from around 2000.
- The town placements are based on the modern day, and their placements are only "mostly" accurate, I've quite literally eyeballed it with the map editor on one screen and google maps on the other.
- Industry placement is completely random! I just sprinkled some around the map to give the player some starting options, but so long has you have new industry enabled, more options will appear as the game goes on.
- I've deliberately left all the towns unconnected by roads; I figured it would be best to leave it up to the player to make that happen.
- Regarding the terrain, especially when it comes to the waterways, I took some liberties to ensure a reasonable playable area, and simplicity. When scaled down from real world size to in game size, it gets very messy...
-Certain areas have been flattened for user friendliness, and forests have been added for added realism, but not *everywhere*, even though in real life it very much is like that in the rural areas. Why? User friendliness again, but also performance reasons.

Now, this map DOES REQUIRE the Meglomaniac map size, instructions for enabling that can be found here:

I am considering more focused maps, for greater fidelity in the future, so if you thought this map was alright, let me know!

Hope you all enjoy, and have fun!

I looked at the map thinking that the Gold Coast was a long stretch of sandy beach, but instead I saw a group of huge buildings.
I see, that's what players of this map aim for. Thank you.
