Beef's Longer Orbital Periods

Beskrivning
Beef's Longer Orbital Periods
WARNING: This is a StationeersLaunchPad Plugin Mod. It requires BepInEx to be installed with the StationeersLaunchPad plugin.
See: https://github.com/StationeersLaunchPad/StationeersLaunchPad

This plugin gives you control over the length of the day/night cycle in Stationeers. You can set it really fast, really slow, however you want.

If you don't want to update the value in StationeersLaunchPad config, it also supports writing values with the console, these are saved to the config file and so don't need to be updated again every time you load the game.

It should work as a serverside-only mod, not requiring clients to have it installed. Automatically disables its patch if it detects you're connecting to someone elses world to reduce possible sheninangans.

Press F3 to open the console and use the time command.
- To see current settings: time
- To set a new multiplier: time <multiplier>

Settings are automatically saved to your config file and persist between game sessions.

Examples:
- time 0.5 (10-minute day)
- time 1.0 (20-minute day - game default)
- time 3.0 (1-hour day - mod default)
- time 6.0 (A 2-hour day)

Note: This mod only affects the sun's orbital period and does not change the duration or frequency of storms.

@IAmTheRealBeef cool beans. Yeah it would really help to have it marked on the example.

Maybe with Plants and Nutrition, this at default does a lot to help plants grow.

1.0 (20min) as its multiplier of the vanilla time

It shows up in the in-game console when you type `time` but I can add it above in the about haha

If 3.0 is the mod default, which one would be the vanilla time?

@IAmTheRealBeef Thanks for the answer. I was checking just in case.

It does not adjust the light and dark requirements - so you are absolutely correct that it could make window greenhouses not viable if you set longer orbital periods.

I am somewhat cautious to expand this mod into this can of worms as these systems are very complex - and it would be weird for instance if you set say 4hr orbital period that plants grow completely from seed to done with only darkness or only light. You can check out the source for the Plants and Nutrition mod or just the tables that Thunder has shown on the workshop page and you will understand why!

I second the question regarding plants.
Does this adjust plant light and dark requirements? If not then this will make window green houses a lot harder to make.

@Geneticus You can adjust the settings in the main menu - go to Workshop / click on the mod / Stationeer's Launchpad adds a config menu on the right

I do think there's value in a per-save or per-world config, but this is down the road

I wish mods like this had a UI based config panel in game that issued the commands for you. Either on another key or an admin command block in game that they can be bound to. I usually skip useful mods like this because they require me to remember that I have and remember new console commands.

I couldn’t get it to work on the server. I placed the DLL in the /BepInEx/plugins/ folder, but it didn’t load and the configuration file didn’t appear either
