Ice Age Earth Map – Last Glacial Maximum
A custom Earth map set ~20,000 years ago, when global sea levels were about 130 meters lower than today. The projection is rotated on a polar axis between the Atlantic and Pacific, giving you a fresh perspective on the world during the Ice Age.

-Natural land bridges connect continents, opening up migration routes that no longer exist.

-Periglacial lakes shape much of Siberia and northern Europe.

-Dryer climates dominate the tropics, with scattered forests replacing dense jungles.

-Ice shields are represented as Arctic rocky fields to limit food production and simulate inhospitable glacial terrain. (Not perfect, but closer to the feeling of wasteland without breaking aesthetics.)
