Description

The Agencies mod allows the player to roleplay as different agencies and factions that are available in the world of Jagged Alliance 3 by altering the appearance of the mercenaries and game UI. Available agencies and factions are specifically M.E.R.C., Adonis Corporation, Grand Chien Militia, Maquis Rebels, and Grand Chien Army.


Agency-Themed Attire - when a merc is deployed, they will wear new attire generated randomly from faction-appropriate pieces and colors.

Agency can be switched at any time in mod options: Menu -> Options -> Mod -> Agencies -> Agency. Select "A.I.M." in the list if you want to essentially turn off the mod's features.

It is also possible to regenerate attire for any merc in your squad at any point by using the "Redress" button in your PDA browser next to the hiring buttons.

Agency-Themed PDA Browser - Each faction also comes with its own themed PDA browser. UI changes include the hiring page and its related texts, such as URLs and page names.

This feature can be toggled on and off at any time in mod options: Menu -> Options -> Mod -> Agencies -> Enable Themed UI.


The roadmap represents a set of concepts and improvements that are planned to be added in later updates. This list is not final and will change and expand.
  • Multiplayer Support - Completely necessary for seamless integration with the game. Currently being developed.
  • Faction Bonuses - In order to spice up gameplay and give some personality to factions, a set of bonuses will be introduced to each. This feature can be switched off.

The mod is largely compatible with all modded mercs, the exception being mercenaries with darker skin colors. As there's no way to tell the skin color of the character, white color for body parts that contain skin will be applied. However, the authors of the modded mercs can implement, if desired, a minor code compatibility to specify the skin color that Agencies mod attire generation should use.

As for mods that change vanilla merc presets, they should also work fine. But mods that use Lua scripts to alter appearance may conflict and cause issues. Additionally, the mod may be incompatible with any mods that heavily edit the PDA Browser UI. In case of using such mods, it is recommended to turn off Themed UI in the Agency mod options.

MULTIPLAYER has not been tested; use it at your own risk (official support will come at a later date)! It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to restart the game after mod activation or deactivation.
