Description

VForce 10i PRO 555 Horsepower

The VForce 10i is a brand new completely redesigned 12.8L series succeeding our original VForce 10 truck engines. The VForce 10 is a light and compact engine ideal for vocational and special applications where size and weight savings are prioritized, as well as regional and line haul trucks offering maximum performance in a small, and light package.

The new engine line features improved VForce Gen-II engine architecture, along with our new compound-turbocharging technology for the first time on a VForce Diesel engine. The Gen-II VForce series uses cutting edge precise engineering to maximize fuel efficiency, power and torque delivery, and also servicability all while offering top-dog power ratings and ease of integration in vehicles.

Along with a completely refreshed engine, comes a completely refreshed ECM.

Our new VForce MECH APLHA II comes with a variety of new and refreshed features that optimize the efficiency, performance, and longevity of our new engines.

- Idle reduction technology automatically shuts the engine off after 5 minutes of low idle, saving fuel, reducing emissions, an preventing accelerated wear caused by excessive hours of low idle.

- Advanced engine warm-up automatically raises the idle speed of the engine when the truck is parked to accelerate the engine warm-up process, and bringing the coolant and oil up to operating temperature quicker. Advanced engine warm-up will run constantly when in colder climates that do not allow the engine to maintain reasonable operating temperate, and will override idle reduction technology to maintain engine temp.

- Engine thermal management dictates when the engine coolant pump and radiator fans are engaged, helping the cold-start warm-up process and keeping the engine within a healthy operating temperature range.

- Fast idle allows the vehicle operator to manually raise the engine idle to faster idle speed in order to maintain cylinder temperatures during extended idle periods, or to run an engine-driven PTO system.

- Use case scenarios allow the outfitter of the engine to select between “truck” and “marine” engine ECM profiles to optimize the engine behavior for the application it’s to be used in. The truck configuration opts for more moderated engine governor profile to manage engine cooling limits and maintain traction, while marine configuration opts for a more aggressive engine governor profile to get a marine vessel up to speed quicker, and respond to changes in engine load.

Within the new VForce 10i series, there are 2 different engine tier/power ratings.

ST
– Efficient fuel saving single-turbo engine tier producing up to 455 Horsepower.

PRO
– A mid tier engine running a dual-turbo compound setup offering a heavy hitting 555 Horsepower and maximizing productivity
